Sounds like we'll be hitting up Miller Jeep Trail on Saturday, assuming I make it back in one piece I'm down to hit up Rowher Flats on Sunday.

Miller Jeep Trail is north of Castaic, up the 5 North off of the grapevine. It's in the same area as Hungry Valley/Gorman.

Rowher Flats is off of Sierra Highway just outside of the Santa Clarita Valley

 

I forget, have you off roaded your truck before? Cleghorn would be a nice place to start if you haven't.

Cleghorn is a good place to get your feet wet (or your wheels dirty as it were) if you stay on the main fire road it's 2wd friendly but there are a variety of off shoots that vary from moderate to black diamond difficult. Some of the harder ones don't get tricky until it's too late to turn around so its always good to scope them out first

lol yeah they are pretty far outside of LA. Good wheeling spots though! Definitely worth checking out, especially MJT...it's supposedly up there with some of the most challenging trails in socal. I made it through once unscathed in a stock TRD 4x4 first gen, but swore I wouldn't ever go back without sliders and a lift, at least lol. Witnessed others take on some gnarly carnage up there.
