Do it. I bought my first place at 24 and rented rooms to pay for the mortgage.

I have ten years on you. If I have any advice for the younger folks, it would be to buy something, anything. I know it is a lot harder to do that now than when I was younger. Paying rent is wasted money. All you are doing is paying someone else's mortgage. Don't get me wrong I have done it all. Lost a shitload in bad decisions.

Ex's will do that. I spent a year living in a VW van following the Dead with a hippy chick. Smoked more weed than a Rastafarian shaman.

 People keep saying that, especially in regards to a 4x4. Which in turn is why I'm thinking of building up my savings a little bit more so I can afford a newer 4x4 that will last me a long time :D. Whether it'll be a 2nd gen or 1st gen is still to be decided :goingcrazy:

I'd save up for a second gen and make payments. If you go first gen pay cash.

Exactly why I'm leaning towards a 1st gen, I've been raised to always save up & pay cash. Plus a 1st gen will be a bit cheaper which will leave me with savings lefts over for any possble problems down the line
