Every time I'm working on the truck at night I think "Why don't I have some kind of light, I'll buy one tomorrow."

    Then I never do.

It's only when we lose the Sun's light do we realize how very unique it is to any man-made light, amirite?

Fall must be coming cuz I'll be outside til 730, then 715 and now it feels like 630. I like sun light a lot more than artificial light unless I'm in a shop. With my light I can only work on stuff that requires little too no effort.

I'm thinking about going with a storm trooper look for my truck. White and black. I'll probably plasti dip the emblems later today.

What do you guys think for wheels? Should I wait and save for some other wheels, keep my sport wheels, or powder coat the sport wheels black?

I was considering powder coating my wheels, but figured I'd get new wheels in the future, so I just dipped mine until I decide to get the wheels I want. I don't know the cost to powder coat but I figured it'd be slightly expensive so I didn't want to waste money on it when I can just dip em for about 10 bucks.

Yeah. Only problem with dipping is it seems to have that "plastic" look which I'm not a huge fan of. It is super cheap though and also insanely easy to do.

Not trying to convince you one way or the other, but here's picture of mine dipped. The top is the day after dipping the other was a weekend or 2 ago off roading, just to show you the looks. Doesn't look overly plastic to me, which was a concern at first, although the top picture is a bit plasticy. After getting them dirty they look better. I'll snap another pic when I go out to my truck in a bit

I agree. Trying to do one thing at a time. Good thing I'm broke now or else I would be making too many irresponsible decisions! Haha

Woah. That looks way better than I thought. How many coats is that? Also, you're truck is sick!

Thanks! I did 4 coats per tire with about 20-30 minutes between. I used just under 2 cans of dip. I have 2 full cans left as I bought too much and threw away the receipt so I can't return. If you want em, both are yours for $10

If this helps at all, powdercoating costs ~75 / wheel. You'd need to pay to have the tires removed, takes several days for powder, and then the cost to remount the tires. So say 300 for powder, 15 to dismount, 15 to remount. Looking at $420 for powder coat. Plastidip is ~$20 for two cans.

There's that saying "Buy Once,Cry Once"!I've been very patient with what i want to do to my truck wether funds permit or not!Never a good feeling when the excitement/adrenaline rush kicks in when you want to upgrade or better something and then you regret doing it knowing from the beginning you should of waited!Patience!LOL!
