Nice! What are you doing next Saturday? Headed to big bear for some snow wheeling. If there's still snow that is.

I'm down! Not sure yet with the work scedhule though.

All together I would guess there is about 3-4" around town and on the northshore. There is Always quite a bit more on the south side behind the resorts(skyline, etc.) Probably about a 5-6" on that side. So hopefully it will stick around. Gonna be in the 40's during the day this week. Pretty wet snow so we will see.

Cool. Myself and @Willbeck are talking about grapevine canyon starting at rim of the world drive and then coming back to the lake via the back way on jacoby. Or Holcomb Valley. But if you know where the snow pack is best we are all ears.

I know gates will be closing soon, would need to check with forestry for definate info. I was checking today while I was in Holcomb and on part of 3n16 and all gates everywhere where still open.

With the snow pack it's always better via south side of big bear and last way longer on that side. If weather permits it might not matter for the north side by this weekend though. Was pretty awesome back there today.

Sounds good. I've done skyline. Very scenic but long and boring after a while. However, I haven't done it in the snow so I'd be willing to give it another go. Some solid 4x4 fun would be cool but as long as we're wheeling I'm happy. Probably hit BB Brewery afterwards for a bite 'n pint.

Sounds good, home slice. Get that shoe swapped out yet? The rain forced me to quickly unload my rig which I'm getting quicker at now that I'm dialing in my camping game. Took me 20 mins to unload into my garage and get the coolers cleaned out. Nonetheless, I wouldn't have even done that if it wasn't for the rain. I seriously hibernated the last day and a half. Gym life is gonna be picking up immensely after DV. That overland life is dope and I don't want my lack of mental and physical discipline impeding it. Really figured some shit out last week. Nature is an awesome bitch and she'll let you know real quick that she won't let just any ole scrub rub on her. haha!

Agreed. I was thinking maybe something else though. I forget the trail # but there is that run from Angelus oaks campground into bear creek and then up into big bear that comes in right behind summit on skyline. That's a moderate fun trail....let me see if I can find the trail #.

I haven't talked with the cosmos in a while and I haven't talked to my "guy" in probably 5-7 years. Keep me posted.
