The new bag came in today @bigbarlo the thing is warm! It came with a stuff sack that looks to be water repellent and it came with a storage bag. The storage bag is pretty large, I don't even have to stuff the bag in there, you think it's safe to store it in there or should i hang it?

Sweet. Stoked to test it out next weekend. It's almost too small. So we'll see how it works out. But there's not really any other mummy bag that's much bigger than that one. It seems really warm though, I zipped up in it and was about to start sweating haha.

haha yeah I got the long. I'm like border line pushing the edge of it. I think it's 6'6 (78 inches) and I'm 6'5. So it's a tight fit. It felt mostly fine, I just need to figure out what I'm gonna do for a sleeping pad though. The nice ones are just as much as the bag, so I'm thinking just saying fuck it and buying one of those memory foam toppers at costco today and cutting it up to fit the truck bed

Good Idea. I actually bought a womens bag because I like to sleep on my side and the womens are wider in the hip area which allows me to sleep on my side and keep the bag flat.

Hmm if they make that in the same size I may have to do an exchange for one of them. I'm usually a side sleeper as well. We'll see how it all plays out next weekend

That was also the next night that I didn't stay haha. I'll check it out. The plan has been to get a memory foam topper for a while so I think it may just be time for that. We'll see.

I'm trying to get in to an aerospace or defense job. Ideally I'd like to be a contractor, possibly for the government. Good fuckin money in that.

Wally world has a tri-fold memory foam pad that I measured. It will fit perfectly in our truck beds. About 2" thick. I will get one very soon, 40 bucks or so.
