Anybody know a good cheap tint place or person? Got my windshield swapped yesterday and I miss my strip up top already :(

LOL sorry I'm 24 hours late, work was crazy yesterday. Work is crazy today as well but fuck working hard 2 days in a row :anonymous:

I believe they call them 80% lowers these days. Hell I can turn a legit pistol into an almost-burner just by swapping out the barrel ;) Good luck tracking the groove/landings on those slugs Mr. CSI.

Sweet Jesus I think that is beautiful #industrialart

@Nicklovin they are heavy AF. My pops had one on his Chebby 3500 long bed. Took 3 grown men to move it (the shell, not the broke down truck) and it was not fun. Benefit? Just leave the sumbitch on and register it as a passenger vehicle to save some tag money each year!

I've yet to find a regular spot, honestly I just do Groupon for a deal and inspect their work like a hawk, don't pay until I'm 100% convinced it's a good job. Which leads to my 2nd point: do not go to Whittier Tint Shop. Despite every car on the road rocking their license plate frames they did the absolute worst job I've ever seen, and charged me $50 more to do it :bananadead: My next truck will have 50% on the whole windshield. Fuck the pohlease :crapstorm:

I'd rather find just a mobile person than a shop cuz I only need the windshield strip on the top... although I'm kind of thinking about just doing a light tint on the whole windshield

I've seen a lot of Mercedes and others with windshields as dark as my side windows. I'm not looking to do that, just a very minor tint to take off some of the sun. That's why I loved my strip so much cuz at least it blocked the sun from the very top during sunrise/sunset when im driving to work.

Honestly with my rear 3 windows limo over factory and the front 2 at ~15% my truck is dark AF when you look at it from the front. People ask all the time if my windshield is tinted, but it's just that there's no light hitting the interior so you can't really see the seats even when looking thru the clear glass. Also the chances of getting popped for that I think are less, once a cop passes you he's probably not looking back at you.... except in my case when they can't see through the sides so they cut me off to see if I'm solo in the carpool lane. Tangent: got popped on the 405 in the carpool lane with my girl, he didn't like the tint. When he approached he says "it looked like you were solo since I couldn't see through the tint". To which I replied "well officer, my girlfriend is black so that may have compounded the visibility problem". LOL neither of them were entertained  :bananadead:

The filter at my works gotten worse. It used to at least show what it was, now It's just a blocked image thing. Same with other hosted images, blocks them completely. Don't think we can even use google image search... like what the fuck lol

My way of thinking now. I had the limo tint all around back in the day, got pulled over once, got the tint on a couple months later, sure enough got pulled over again. Now I'm over that, and just like you said, why give them a reason? So much better driving down the road without having to be looking out for cops.

That's why I did my fronts lighter than the back. Haven't been pulled over yet :fingerscrossed:

Haha I've actually contemplated doing that, but then i go back to thinking it's not that worth it since I'm comfortable as is.

I keep the AC on too, but when the suns at the right angle, it shines down on you with the light of 1000 burning suns and fries your arm and side of your face haha. I could use the visor off to the side, but I'm too tall to use it for the windshield, blocks my whole field of view.
