That could be it too. You described exactly what's happening to me. When I get home from work I'm going to jack the truck up and check everything.

Oh yeah, and take a look at your cam tabs on the lower control arms, mine have 'fresh' metal above and below, from scraping up and down. That could be it too

Normally I would agree with you and balk at the price because I'm a cheap ass. I will have to say that I got my sPod for $300 and it has been the best $300 I have spent on the truck after my kings, Tepui, and BD lights.

Having the low voltage cutoff, plus not having to run a bunch of bs wired into the cab is a huge plus. It also makes wiring so crazy simple. I've wired a number of trucks before my Tacoma, and although I hate doing it, always did it right. The SPod just makes things soooooo much more OEM looking, not to mention safer and easier to install. It's more than just a switch panel.

Do you have the touch panel one or the rocker switch one? I've got a bussmann under the hood with built in relays already so that's a plus. I get the Whole only running one wire in to the cab thing. That's definitely cool. 300 isn't the worst price but I just can't see myself ever paying for it. I wish I had money to blow, I'd probably get the whole shebang, alas I'm broke and I'll stick to my ugly wiring and knockoff switch panels in the meantime until I win the lottery.

No, I have the 6 circuit version with manual rocker switches. I really like the new fancy ones with a touch screen and solid state diodes vs relays or whatever magic is going on in there.

One of the biggest pluses is that it isolates my accessory wiring from everything else. It makes diagnosis much easier when you're way out in the back country. Worst case I can just disconnect it and deal with it later. The bussman setups are legit, I just don't have the electrical knowledge to deal with them

Also, I bought a 17 year old truck bone Stock so that I'd have money for stuff like this. Amazing what you can afford when you don't have $400-$600 truck payments lol

Cool. Ya if I was going to spend the money on a fancy shmancy setup I'd get that touchscreen business. Looks cool. I'm not great with wires either, luckily the bussmann came prewired so now it's just time to get rid of old harnesses and run new wires from the lights to the bussmann to the switch panel. Should be mostly easy. Plus @dtaco06 seems to mostly know what he's doing and he'll be there to help haha.

    In before someone mentions probing

Edit: ya, @MotoEd and @itaro and I talked about it a few weeks back. I think I've got it figured out in my head... mostly

Nah he'll have his own shit. I'm sufficient enough once someone shows me how to do what needs to be done.

If you're working on it, I have faith in you. But my problem is I can't do the trial and error. Electrical is like rocket science to me. It takes me hours reading a schematic to lay everything out and assemble a harness. I just don't have the time for that.

What's the total cost on a bussman setup oncevyou buy the block, quality (not junk Chinese) relays, wiring, fuses, and assembly time? I bet you the sPod looks competitive if you value your time at all.

That includes relays? And wire going into the cab for switches?

I just paid 140 for the waterproof fusebox with relays - all pre wired, and a ground block.

Thinking about it now, after new switches too. The cheapest spod is probably close ish in price. Well, if you paid $300. I think they have it for $400 so not as cheap

Keep in mind too that the sPod has low voltage cutoff. When you're running things like fridges that's a big deal.

They do, but on a scale of 1-10, how reliable are they? Weren't you having issues with yours? I read a lot that the fridges cut off too soon, or not at all
