Supervision was minimal, I cut my finger, several people were sunburnt and very few mods accomplished. We needed @4x4Banger to crack the whip and keep us moving and in the shade.

@MadTaco461 gave @YotaGurlIAm a poly bushing, which she cut and modified to fit her truck and hopefully eliminating the annoying squeak from her radiator core support. He also brought out the welder and @YumaTRD was helping teach us!
Madison spot welded the plate of nuts for her skid plate to the bumper support
    IMG_3076.jpg

Another time I'm hoping for a few more lessons :welder:

@bacon_st really busted out the mods. Ran a ton of wires through his headliner for this crazy camera set up he will be doing to his 3rd gen.

We chopped a couple exhausts. Shane got his new* bumper installed and the ARB compressor mounted.

I made a huge mess of my grille, turns out old plastidip sucks to remove haha.

@uhplifted 's bike made no progress, but we did determine it needs a carb cleaning and a new pilot jet. Runs well otherwise! lol

The real winner of the mod day was the pot luck of food and cold swimming pool. Oh and @Hollywood for bringing beer at the end of the day since we nearly ran out.

Sounds like a good time. Minus the cut finger. Did the super write up an accident report? OSHA should be informed.

Probably not, super on duty was useless.

(ps: it was practically a paper cut, nearly healed already, caught it on the peeling factory chrome on my grille.)

My neighbor was peeling his derp off his bumper Saturday and he said it was a bitch. I let him use my hair dryer I use for work and it helped. Not a lot though. His derp was three years old.

Yeah I can imagine. Mine was several years of layers upon layers of sunbaked derp. I read wd40 works to "melt it" and you can wipe it off... yeah it melted it into the booger goo that smudged around. Tried to pressure wash it off which helped a bit but not completely. Should have just added another layer instead of trying to do it the right way

Did you try the duct tape method? I do it all the time when idiots paint latex over oil. Works great

To add @YotaGurlIAm might have fixed her squeak by making a custom poly bushing.

@desertjunkie760 got his truck looking got. His gf put on his bumper, lol. He did have a great selection of tools. ARB compressor mounting started.

I was starting my tundra rear light conversion. I jumped around helping a little everywhere.

@sdsurfer got his sweet sliders on.

Food was on point. Had like 6 lbs of meat to grill. I'll repost the pics.

Supervision was inadequate and food/drink was on point. I got my bed supports installed too. That was the start of my day.

I guess supervision was lacking. JK. Next time apply duct tape to the area. rub duct tape real good with a rag. heat with hair drier. rub again. peel duct tape to remove. easy, peasy, japaneasy.
