That's @desertjunkie760 under there breaking a sweat installing like a boss.

Took all damn day to drill those suckers, couldn't finish the last two holes, and got them 100% on Sunday afternoon.

It would have been better if @eccracer104 would have brought his battery charger and I didn't break the back up drill we were using that was from the 1970s. The frame was a bitch to drill though though. I appreciate the slider designs where you don't need to do it more now.

When we were drilling yesterday those last two holes we went through like 4 batteries. No idea why it was so much slower, maybe the lack of the "drill press" played a roll in that, but it took FOREVER to finish.

Felt like when I drilled mine the batteries lasted longer, but it also drilled rather than just spinning and shaving off metal.

(Yes we used a new bit as well, one of those titanium coated ones)

I'm sure there were a few factors. The "redneck drill press" did wonders for us Saturday but I seriously wonder if the heat that was applied on Saturday when we didn't finish the job allowed the metal to be hardened? A little far fetched, but it did get very hot and then cool off completely. Kind of like heat treating.

I would like to point out the keys to proper supervision

    1. Always be prone. This is key.
    2. Be close enough to the job to observe and give advice but out of arms reach to actually help.
    3. Eye protection and just enough shade to clearly inspect said job.
    4. Keep a positive attitude as to keep the subordinates happy.
