I'm about to lose it over the parts guy at Toyota of HB. Can't believe how incompetent he is.

    Too far :(

The truck I bought I found out had a spare tire lock that needed a specific key. So I go and have the shop find out what key it is. I get the part number and go to the parts guy and he orders it. The part comes, I pay for it.

Get home. Wrong part. It was a wheel lock nut not one for the spare.

Go back a few days later and the guy says oh, my co worker ordered the wrong part. But I can't refund you for the one we messed up on.

After some "discussion" he told me he would refund me.

Part comes in and I go back today. The guy who originally messed up my order was there. Told me he can't give me money for the part because he doesn't know how much it cost. I didn't have my invoice on me. He said there was nothing he could do and he can't look it up.

So now I have to go back tomorrow to talk to the guy who ordered me the right part and have him figure it all out. Such a mess.

    EBC or Stop Tech.
I'm happy with my EBC brakes, lots of members running them as well. I went with the Sport rotors and green pads, so far so good! Riding the brakes down a trail they didn't overheat or have a nasty burning smell like my stock set would. Stop Tech does offer stock replacement (not just that BBK I posted earlier) and what's cool is they make the TRD brake kits. Stop Tech offers a "cryo treated" rotor which is super heated and super cooled to harden the metal so they last longer, gets a little expensive though.

Sorry that it happen to you but 15 mins drive to Cabe would've solved all that issue. Note to self stay away from HB Toyota. There's a reason Cabe wins the President award a lot!

Ask for the Parts Manager if you need to, and make sure to fill out any surveys and leave your contact info on it.. Surveys are a huge deal at my dealership. Both the Service and Parts Managers are always contacting bad surveys in order to do what's necessary to make the customer happy, happy customers will always return..
