Just removed the front coilovers and bypasses; gonna have anthony rebuild them and I’m changing the bushings with uniballs on the tc kit tomorrow after work

Quick question...
I have OME Nitros up front.
The eyelet where the shock mounts to the LCA has worn and there is some play on the up & down. Noticed it last time I was in there checking torques, the bolt was a little loose and noticed the play. Pulled the bolt and noticed some irregular wear where the eyelet has obviously been making contact in is play...
My question is, can this eyelet be rebuilt?
Is there a solution to this other than replacing?

 

i'm not sure you can, i haven't been able to find anything online so hopefully someone will chime in.

 

Same here... nothing really online about it. Was thinking I should just go ahead and call OME. Thought that maybe there might be a bushing type of replacement for that eyelet.

 

I don't know those shocks but if they anything like kings fox icon the bearing in the rod end is replaceable.

Ah that's ballz man. Haha honestly even if they are cheap it adds to the anger of the ride with the strap.

 

Back in the day I new guys that wrote off the anime purchases as "business" expenses. Granted they didn't make a lot of money at the time so not up on the radar but still seemed like a stretch to me.

You could just start a side business as a "Social Media Influencer" that is off-road focused and then the entire truck is a write off. No rules that say you actually have to make any money.
