@MadTaco461 and @dtaco06 I have both new door handles installed!!!

    old driver-side handle:
    IMG_20180422_105840.jpg

    old passenger-side handle (broken):
    IMG_20180422_105205.jpg

When working on the door handle, it was easier to remove the metal window guide. Also, to unlatch the plastic "latch" that connects to the linkages, it was easier to disconnect by taking out the 3x screws for the door latch itself and then bring out the whole door handle and linkage assembly out more to where it makes it easier to deal with. Then use a screw driver to slightly "pry open" the plastic just enough to slip the linkage end through the plastic clip. (see pics below):
    IMG_20180422_105403.jpg

    IMG_20180422_105312.jpg

    The key/tumbler assembly:
NOTE: it looks okay??? A bit gritty, but okay, from I could tell??? After installing the new handle, I didn't reconnect the plastic latch to the linkage because I'm gonna take this key/tumbler out again and give it a good bath. I couldn't do it here at my brother in-laws place because the guy doesn't have SHI* as far as tools and other much needed guy things???!!! :annoyed: Me personally, I'd go F'N NUTS if I didn't have tools!!!
    IMG_20180422_105647.jpg

Here is the same tumbler assembly, but with the key in it to try to show that it only turns so far???!!! I can clearly see the tumblers "flatten out" when inserting the key, but it just stops at a certain point when turning the key???:goingcrazy:o_O:annoyed::frusty: NOTE: passenger-side key/tumbler works with no flaw whatsoever??? The driver-side just eventually stopped working altogether???!!! :notsure:
    IMG_20180422_105750.jpg

Anyways here are the new door handles installed, reconnected, and tested. The only exception, again, I didn't reconnect the plastic clip to the linkage for the key/tumbler assembly on the driver-side. Easy enough to remove it without doing much else. Gonna bathe that bastard for sure and see if there is "dirt particles keeping it from completely turning??? Other than that, it looks to be working fine???
    IMG_20180422_114819.jpg

    IMG_20180422_114739.jpg

@itaro I did a quick test by swapping speakers and completely NO sound on the driver-side??? So, it's gotta be the actual radio's electronics or there is a loose wire connection at the back of the radio's wire assembly??? The wire assembly at the door looks to be in fairly good shape???:notsure:

Yeah, on the Toyota, the clip comes with the handle, so I'm HIGHLY assuming, you can't reorder just the plastic piece itself if it was to break???:notsure:

HAHAHA, my nuts were sweating REEEEALLLY GOOD because I was so scared to break that dumb F'N plastic clip!!! :goingcrazy::pray::laughing::laugh::rofl::rofl::rofl:

For Toyota? Sweet, if that was the case?

I need to buy some grill clips. I also need to buy a right-front headlight assembly because the adjustor screws are not working? I tried recentering my lights and the screw just keeps spinning and that is when I noticed how badly "turned in" my right-front light was??? It still is "straight", more or less, but it is crooked enough to bother me and also knowing it is no longer adjustable/broken (i.e. OCD kicked in at that point... HAHAHA). That headlight issue is definitely at the bottom of my list as it is not really "broken". I'd much rather spend my money on the more crucial maintenance stuff.

Here are 2 for you, I also saw a porsche 1970's with large mud tires on it wit the spare attached to the roof. No pic as it was in the 5 north and I was going south.

Didn't get to work on the truck this weekend like I wanted to but scored points with the SO.

Went with the wife to a BBQ at her bosses place on Saturday and sat around doing nothing because everyone spoke Japanese and I couldn't understand the conversation.

    Today:
Did a bunch of errands with the family.
Put a little apartment garden together for my 4.5 yo and helped her plant some cucumber seeds.
Changed the soil/moved our only indoor plant to a larger pot.
Took our bedroom door off and chopped a 1/4" or so off the bottom to keep it from rubbing on the hardwood floor.
Cleaned the graphite out of the hinges on said door.
Lubed up the hinges and pin and re-hung the door (no more squeaking door)

I'm sure its been discussed many times before my Tacoma days, but I am curious... why so much 3rd gen hate on these forums?

*Please fell free to bash all you guys want... I don't care nor mind it. ;)

What's the biggest tire I can fit on a stock suspension?
How much auxiliary lighting do I need to overland?
Do I need aftermarket UCA to fit 33s?
    What's the best CAI?
    What's your OB number?
    Is synthetic oil OK?
How many mpg will I get if I regear?
    Geez, overlanding stuff is expensive.
How much mpg will I get from a K&N air filter?
So I tried searching but couldn't find it, can I fit 33s without trimming?

(no shit, some of these are actual thread titles I've seen)

If you don't understand that list right now, you will after being on this site long enough and learning enough.
