Haha! I almost did the same thing!

It was nothing special, but still fun! It surprises me that almost 100% of people down there are still wearing wetsuits. I swear that water is almost 60 now

You have a very good point. I felt the realm by being 34, but my difference is I have a lot of hobbies that helps define what I am and I have closure in that. But for most of my co workers for say, they are like me in that they arnt in school or part of a group or active club anymore and they are wanting to find a place. Because of their lack of hobbies or continued interest in an old sport or whatever they want to find some sort of outlet that they can claim. Because of this you for me anyway, I see a lot of guys jump ship for a while testing the waters of what is ok for them to claim home, but at the same time many get deterred by having to do the work of getting immersed in the hobby to where you “commit” in a sense. I do believe some of the younger guys have issue with this as they have relied on technology to be the backbone of what they strive to live by, but can be challenging when that platform is ever evolving.

 

See...now that’s crossing the line. You don’t want to end up a haterlander like someone I know.
