    The people that they changed their gears, put 285's, bumpers and armor, then claim they are getting 1-3 more MPG before all of that is full of shit. Shit, i'm happy when I see anything around 14 compared to my normal 10-11.

    Sure it wasn't because you drive more conservatively after putting on new stuff? Science says you are spinning larger chunks of rubber with more mass, friction, longer/wider contact patch, etc. Those things don't make an engine run more efficient.

    6,200 pound Tacoma on 35's and 4.56 gears. I have to fill one of my jerry cans just to make sure I don't run out of gas driving to Vegas.... after filling up in victorville. Fuck me dead.

    Bull shit. no way you got better MPG with gears and going from stupid fucking 255's to 315's.

    Are you sure it’s not your gearing? Everywhere I’ve read it says 4.56 for man trans and 4.88 for auto trans... just curious why did u go with smaller gears ?

    I can drive from the Pilot station in Victorville to the Love's station east of Las Vegas on 1 tank. I'm on "E" by the time I get there though with 3 gal left in the tank.

    There may have been one time I was on the phone with work and forgot to fill up in victorville and thought for sure I wasn't going to make it to state line.

    I usually can make it to the loves north of Vegas if i do fill up in victorville.
