I tried those apps too. Still like Craigslist the best. Facebook was the worst. So many replies and nothing. Some items just don't sell easy and its usually electronics.

I had someone on here wanted to do that for some shocks I was selling. Googled to see if it could be a scam in any way, and sure enough......people can pay on PayPal, pick up the item in person, and later say they didn't receive the item and since there isn't a tracking number or shipment you don't have a leg to stand on and PayPal removes the money from your account. I don't think the guy was scamming because he did buy the shocks with cash, it was just weird that someone wanted to use PayPal for an in person transaction.

 

Unless you have to sell stuff to me... you can trust me...

 

My dude was kinda sketchy from the get go. I’d take PayPal as a gift if it was in person so we can treat it as cash. I read that exactly on google about the person canceling their purchase because you can’t prove you delivered. I was like for $100 I don’t want to meet this guy anyways. Sketchy PayPal was a new one for me.

 

Happened to me once when selling a skateboard years ago. I was out $500 and the skateboard.
