how is the fan on your processor? Are you experiencing "slowness" as well? I would also check the "fan" (i.e. if it has one) on your vid card? Not saying that it can't be or isn't the PSU, but is it only when you are editing pics??? :notsure:

My computer needs to run 3d cad. So it has to be pretty fast. Plus draw truck parts if I want to do more work outside of work.

Desktops are the way to go for big power. I don’t need that much power. Nice business laptop is in my future.

HOLY SHI*, I'm ALMOST certain that is my "other build" that I have, but was unable to finish it when I was out of a job. I want to say my PSU is a Thermaltake 700W only though, but then again, I wasn't really building it for gaming, but more for my ORCAD Schematic Capture/Layout program as well as Blender (i.e. that is now it can be used for Blender... after the fact).

Anyways, was never meant to be for gaming.

    Asus M5 A97 LE R2.0
CPU (I believe the exact same one you have)? I just recently moved ALOT of my shi* to my temp storage unit!!!
    Thermaltake 700W
    32GB of RAM

But yeah, I plan on finishing that thing soon!!!

Yeah, "I" myself don't really need THAT MUCH power as well just to handle that/those programs. It will move Blender stuff better, if you will, but then again, I'm not really doing any kind of "rendering" or anything as I'm really only using Blender for basic 3D modeling stuff. FML, that program is NOT very user friendly though!!! :goingcrazy::frusty::facepalm: But then again, it would help if had more of a mechanical and/or animation type of studies/background.

    HAHAHAHAHA, quoting myself...

Anyways, just to add, my AMD Athlon can handle those programs, even Blender, well enough for what I'm using it for. I just wanted to, at the time, get a more up-to-date machine, but it is now OLD... :annoyed::facepalm::boom::bananadead:

I have it in a mid right now, just so that it has a home. I had an old motherboard in it and now my newer mb. It has ooooooookay airflow, but yeah, it could be a bit better. I do have one of those side-panel fan setups though on this particular case. I have an 80 blowing air IN and one 80 blowing air OUT. My 120 up front is blowing air IN while the back pane 120 fan is blowing OUT. I HAD a case, don't know where it is now, but that thing was setup with KRAZY fan setups and I tried to logically place the fans in such a way to where the airflow made "sense".
