Holy fuck Toyota is smoking crack.

Took the truck in to have the horn checked since the relay and fuse are good but still no beep beep.
900+ to replace the fucking clock spring in the steering wheel.

Im Googling how to do this shit myself.

Same year as mind: 2013 there was a recall on that coil spring in the steering wheel. My dealership did the recall work on mind free of charge...back then.

Fuck that, I’ve got the same issue with mine. I read up a bit on doing it, and even @digitaLbraVo mentioned that it isn’t the easiest thing. I gotta resort to flashing my high beams instead of using the horn lol

High beams are hit and miss (mostly miss) with everyone looking down at their phones.

I did my own clock spring replacement, very easy to do and there are plenty of write-ups here at TW, and plenty of youtube videos to follow if needed.
I considered the Ebay special, decided on an actual OEM unit..

Edit: all the write-ups I've seen have not mentioned or recommended to use a torque wrench on the steering wheel attachment nut. Please do and it should be set at 35 ft/ lbs.

Man that is expensive. I didn't find mine too hard to do. Pull off power. Don't want the air bag going off.
The new clock wire is centered for you already.

So, I'm clearing out my e-mail, which was literally in the 999+ range of "INBOX" because I simply got tired of checking it for "New Job posting" since I FINALLY have a job! I come across THIS that was sent on Jul 6 of this year... it's an excerpt

Wanted to touch base as we’re actively meeting experienced engineers for digital design (fpga/vhdl), systems engineering, firmware, and embedded software opportunities in San Diego, Redondo Beach and Woodland Hills.

Your background and expertise look highly compatible with Northrop Grumman, but I’d like to learn more about you and your career interests first to see if this or other opportunities interest you.

Would it be basically too late??? OMFG I FINALLY get SOMMMMMMMME THING, but WELL AFTER THE FACT!!! :goingcrazy::facepalm::annoyed: There wasn't really any specific "timeline" given to contact back, but I feel like an idiot if I was to respond back... now... just over 2months later???!!!:goingcrazy::frusty::annoyed::facepalm:

    Yeah, kinda figured. :(

You and a few others KNOW I've been trying HARD to get into places similar!!! FML!!! :annoyed::boom::bananadead:

Well, you know Danny, this gives me hopes now to keep pushing again. I won't do what I did before as I have learned my lesson, but will actively search while having a stable job. I'll be honest as I always was, I was arrogant in thinking I could get a job right away working almost 12yrs in the same/similar industry.

Anyways, I got a new/few resumes rebuilt as well as a pretty damn decent cover-letter as well!!!

This REALLY gives me some hope brotha!!! I have a job, but I can do better...!!!:fistbump:

Damn am I MAD , but again, there is finally light showing up ahead of me!!!:fistbump:

    Thanks Danny!!!
