    In the 60s.

    I am learning a lot about house construction. Seems like slate sheathing was pretty common. Now full plywood is pretty much the standard to add lateral strength for earthquakes.

    Oh its also relevant to note that above the leak almost all the tiles are cracked one way or another so they aren't doing their job keeping water away from the tar paper.
