I think he may finally be outgrowing his car/motion sickness thing. We took him up to Anaheim yesterday (about 30 min drive) and he didn't get super drooly like he normally does and he didn't puke. He was panting pretty heavily for the first maybe 20 mins and then settled down on the way up. On the way home, he panted heavily for about 5 mins and then once we got on the freeway he just went to the back seat and laid down. May be able to bring him down for a SD visit soon :fingerscrossed:

It's funny how the badass looking dogs are sometimes more sensitive than the smaller dogs. Gatsby, our Rottweiler mix gets really worked up on rough off-road trails and our little Maltese has no problem with rough trails.

Right? How does Gatsby do on regular roads, any issues?
My older one (I think you've met him) never had any issues in the car and did really well off road. Never got car sick. The little pup was just a nightmare to transport up until yesterday. The vet said that it is common though in young dogs and they often outgrow it. I'm really hoping he falls in to that category so I can take them both on longer road trips.

Gatsby is fine on paved roads. He's made several trips to UT no problem. As soon as the trails get rough he starts hyperventilating and cowers in the corner of the back seat. Snowball (the Maltese) on the other hand sits there like "bring it on bitch!"...

Loving it! Wife is very happy with it; she loves the kdss. Drives very differently than one we test drove a few years ago.

Is that you on the 4runner site??
