Orange County CAF's: up to no good

It's sitting around 140k miles. Still need to confirm when the water pump & timing chain were replaced. After some Google I see you're right, front suspension is the same. Dammit that just made the decision harder I won't need much if we got a 460. Sliders, shocks, tires, lights, maybe some bumpers, roof rack, fridge... That should be enough to get me enough places to keep me happy while keeping its driveability as a baby hauler.

 

140k is nothing for a 4.7 drivetrain. She’ll treat you right for sure. Our buddy Dan’s Tundra had well over 300k on his and it ran fine even after it ended up on its lid. Definitely check out that timing stuff though, they recommend changing it between 80-100k miles and its a belt not a chain so its more likely to break. If it does it will grenade your engine as a 4.7 is an interference engine. Fairly easy job to do though

You may not NEED much but that shiny triple bypass King suspension setup you already paid for would really help with keeping the little kiddo asleep while you mob across the desert with us

Has anyone camped at Hanna Flat before up in Big Bear? Taking the lady camping for the first time and bathrooms are a requirement

 

I have. It’s a really good spot. Clean and quiet.

Just went up to big bear, did a little wheeling and camped at Hanna Flats. Nice way to introduce the lady to camping

Stoddard wells this Sunday. 2 trucks and 3 dirt bikes. Dropping the bikes at Slash X then bouncing through the desert back to the 15

 

What time are you heading out?
