Yeah I did the trail with him and a few others last December. It was a lot of fun and really beautiful up there. Great views too.

This time id like to do the rest of bee canyon though, our time got cut short on a Sunday.
@Dangerousd1987 youve done all of bee canyon before, right? Hopefully you can make this "future" trip

We were talking about the 31st-2nd, correct?

I'd be happy to help plan a yellow post camping trip. I'm familiar with plenty of sites in Big Bear. Not so much Idyllwild but I would be down to help out. I've yellow post camped many a time.

And if not Mojave, what else might you be thinking? Not sure if Sara is down for a second desert run. She might like Kern county a bit more? Those dates definitely work though.

I live 10 mins from the ranger station off hwy 38. The crew there are very friendly and will give you free maps and point you in the exact direction you need to be for off roading (Beginner to advanced skills and truck setups) as well as everywhere where it's legal to shoot. Let me know when you find your way over here whether for a full meet or just a last minute trip

    I have a question
Does powder coating really 'strengthen' the metal?

I thought powder coat doesn't protect from rust?
Well anyway, I asked that first question because I wanted to buy these Total Chaos spindle gussets. So I called Demello because they are a dealer and they have a fab shop and will weld them on. And I spoke to this chick to get a price for how much it cost to get them welded there and she told me powder coat and weld is 550 so I said 'okay well how much without powder coat' because like I honestly don't care if they're powder coated, and she was all 'well trust me you want them powder coated it adds strength and makes them stronger' and I said 'could you just give me the price without powder coating' and she's all 'well trust me it's only a 50 dollar difference and you don't want to take the risk of not having powder coat and it'll make the gussets stronger'. So I said 'I'm pretty sure that's not how it works but thanks anyway' and hung up. But anyway yeah I was just wondering if she's really as dumb as she sounds or if it's true that powder coating adds stability.

You won't get any added strength to metal, just surface protection against rust. It's more scratch resistant than paint.

Yeah I was like am I crazy because I'm pretty sure powder coating is just a more durable option over using paint. If I'm getting something welded I'm pretty sure it should already be strong enough

Probably just a job to her and has no passion for doing right by people and being honest. Or just dumber than a bag of hammers... either way just paint that shit yourself and save the can for any needed touch ups
