    That's cool
I know you can but 1985 is quite high priced & outta my price range, who knows maybe I'll find one by miracle....but just in case considering my options you know since 85 is the unique year
True, all this talk is more down the line you know. I was considering picking up a winch to help with self recovery but debating ont he justification & worried if I upgrade one thing I'll just sink into a pool of upgrades hahaha

Unique because of Back to the Future or is there something about the 85s I don't know about?

Are you talking a winch for the Taco you have now?

Get a high lift, a decent come along, and a tow rope. And learn how to use all three.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I'd decide what kind of wheeling I actually want to do, first. A truck built to do 70mph across the desert is very different from a rock crawler. Aim for both and you'll be terribad at both.

    Thanks but pass :boink:
I'm sure you know 85 is the only year with both solid axle & the 22re which makes the price point higher. Who knows potentially if I was really to go that route. Also saw a firebird exactly like yours but black with gold rims, looked sharp
What's a come along? The high lift would be really nice but I would need sliders, although I'm considering attempting to make my own over the summer depending on how if I have any potential for welding to save a few bucks. I wouldnt trust my frame with a hi lift honestly

Yaaa I'd prefer somewhere more in the middle. Like an overland or more so an adventure rig, able to take on some rock crawling when absolutely needed & able to get up to speed for some rare mild desert fun. Not really lookning to get extreme, although I would eventually like a cage to protect my passengers & myself to an extent
Will do obi wan , would it be master or sensai.... or something else lol

I don't know about that man. @4x4runner2002 has a sweet setup. He built his for rock crawling and shit like that but it can also handle desert extremely well. I rode with him in Anza at one point and he hauled ass
Not true my friend. 84 also had 22re and straight axle. 83 and older isn't bad though as you the only difference between the 22r and the 22re is one is carbureted and the other is EFI

Was it red and black like mine?

I would not do sliders as a beginner since your welds probably aren't gonna be as strong as other peoples. Last thing you want is to be stuck in a situation where you need them, come smashing down on them, break them, and fuck up your doors. Just my 2 cents

That's awesome! Might have to go "borrow" my step dad's high lift from his Bronco

    Thanks for posting that Chan
Wrong Firebird man. You're off by a few years. This guy would be more accurate for mine

    Heck of a videa hahaha
Acutally looked up some info in last few minutes about it, as well as watched those videos. Definately an interesting combination, thanks for informing me
Sorry but that is where you are incorrect, the 22r existed but the 22re did not exist until 1885 models, also 1985 is the last year of solid axles. Not trying to call you out or anything but it's the truth
    It was solid black
