I've been wanting to build one of these for quite some time now so that I can have a little light in the cab and the arm is movable. I tried to get a metal coathanger that was as skinny as possible... not too stiff. When I finished assembling the board, I drilled the board and bent the coathanger in such a way so that the board doesn't "spin" on the coathanger. Then ziptied it to help it stay in place. I know they make ones you can buy, but, well, I just wanted to make my own. The numbers in RED in each picture in the upper right-hand corner is order or process that took place. The calculations were assumed as right around 13V while the vehicle is ON. So between 12-14Vdc was the "target" calculations with the LED running at approx 20mA. The power supply is set at 13Vdc. The volt meter reads right around 19mA, so NOT too bad. Hope you enjoy the pics?

So in usual Big Bear fashion someone didn't pull their head out of their ass and there's no work to be done today. Now I'm just waiting outside to see if the boss is going to pay me something for showing up.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.

So after they sent me home, the supervisor calls me LITERALLY AS I'M BACKING INTO MY DRIVEWAY to tell me he needs me to come back to sign paperwork to pay me. I was literally a foot away from putting the car into park :frusty:
