Not as important considering a bunch of criminals are getting released because Californians decided it was a good idea.

It's really come back to be a prominent round for self defense. What with the FBI throwing that contract to Glock for the new model 17, expect to see the popularity increase. I've shot a lot of 40's and am getting rid of them for 9mm. To me, there's no personal advantage to 40 vs 9 anymore. 9 gets you more rounds typically (california caps at 10 either way), so if you get a hollow point or bonded hollow point you're going to be able to cause as much trauma to your threat as necessary. Plus it seems like all the guns I've shot in 40 cal configuration were originally designed as 9mm and then had a larger barrel put in instead of designing a whole new weapon around the larger round.

Take it for what it's worth, I know I'm a 'nobody' on this forum but would love to talk shop in person if I can ever make it to one of these meet ups.

If Killary got elected she'd just delete the email which contained them anyways.

Shoot me a PM when you go for CCW. Personally I'd go for a Glock 26/27 or 17/23 models. 9 or 40 mm and pretty compact size. Tons of holster options. Too bad the 43 is off limits thanks to this bass ackwards state

    Sounds good

You realize there's this thing in place called checks and balances, right? Or did you just not learn anything in any US Gov, or any government class you've ever taken in school? Being President doesn't give you the right to 100% power and authority. Everything still has to go through congress and the rest of the checks before it passes.

    @dtaco06 +1 for the .45

A 9mm would be cheaper for range time and target shooting, and truthfully would still stop someone if you needed too, but a 45 makes bigger holes :D
One of the last times I went to an indoor range I was having a good day shooting with consistent grouping. A range officer came up to ask if rounds were tumbling out of the barrel as the holes were big. He didn't realize I had a 45  Love my Sig
    IMG_1340.jpg

(Hollow points are not my target ammo, I keep a magazine loaded with them at home and wanted to shoot them so I knew what to expect if I ever need them)

9mm vs 45acp I like it both. Always pros and cons. If you have the money get 45 1911 for sure one shoot kill if you can aim.
9mm ammo is cheap, fun to carry around, fun using at indoor range. But you have to shoot couple of times to kill bad guys. That's if you can aim too :D

Now this is the reason why I went to 40cal because of its like combination of 9mm and .45acp :D

But again it's own preference and personal use. I stil want to own 9mm MP shield coz you can customize it and made in Merica :oldglory:first and then 45.

9 mm will just make the bear you're trying to defend yourself from very angry as he mauls you
It's mainly carried by gov agency's for capacity and inexpensive ammo... comparitivly
You ever wonder why so many police shooting have such high amounts of shots fired is because 1 accuracy under pressure is very difficult and 2 it doesn't stop you unless it's very well placed
Just my opinion but that's why all my pistols are .45

Accuracy under pressure. I was waiting on someone to mention this. You're absolutely right - that's a different ball game. Respect.

And you do realize not everything has to go through the checks and balances system. There are certain things that can be sneaked by, also the president can just choose to ignore Congress like some past presidents have done... Guess you weren't paying attention too much in government class huh :rasta:
