    I got a heat cannon from Frys specifically for shrinking that stuff. Works great. Doesn't leave soot like a lighter.

    I loooooooove shrink tubing. Always solder when you can. If you can't, a good crimp and shrink connectors will hold just fine. I also despise electrical tape. Inevitably turns into a mess

    At some point in the future I need to redo ALL of my accessory wiring and use the proper connectors and head shrink. Fortunately no shorts or issues as of yet (knock on wood)

    Heat shrink is A. Fun, and B. Neat and clean. Plus you can color code things!!! Like my rear Amber has yellow shrink at the sPod connection, and my side lights are white. My light bar trigger wire is green, so even though I used black for the control wire, I put little bands of green shrink tying on it so I know what is what. You can also order custom printed labels for shrink tubing if you're feeling froggy
