Looked at switch pros. Very good outfit. Spod is in Valencia. They're next level with the introduction of diodes to their unit. Not gonna wire a single light till I have my spod in hand.

 

Dang I wish I had either an sPod or SwitchPros doo-dad. Those things are damn expensive though. Added to the list of things I want... need. That'll be after the external fuse block though

Not that expensive man. When you tally the amount you're gonna pay for your lights it becomes an investment. And when it comes to troubleshooting you'll be saving a ton of headache. I've fumbled around with enough spaghetti wiring to know better.

 

My iPad mini has me covered for the lead map. I need another cell or two. 1 dedicated strictly to topo and the other high res satellite terrain. Another tablet will be too much.... I think. Lol. Bring that fucker to dv

 

It's just hard to drop 400 bucks for a switch panel. I definitely will one day, just not right now. But I agree I only have 2 lights and the water pump hooked up but the wiring drives me bonkers

Awesome I took that week off so it sounds fun to do some wheeling out there for the holiday. Take some video. Do some shenanigans. I'm not sure if Johnson Valley is a mad house for that week, but I avoid ocotillo wells because the whole area is a dust cloud of 100k people out there.

 

Never been to Johnson Valley before so I have no idea myself. Me and Ron are thinking of heading out in the afternoon Friday if u wanna join along

 

I actually have a torch from power probe it's for soldering but if you remove the tip it's a small jet flame. also use my lighter if I forgot the torch in the shop.
