Robert @R.M. Was in Socal getting new 5.29 gears installed on his 2018. He drove here from Arizona for the gear install. Robert was on our original tune form early last year.
He had been reading all the great reviews and feedback and wanted to add the Pro tune to his new gear and tire setup "35's". So he hit me up before heading home.We got him set up on the Pro tune Normal Throttle with 5.29 gears and 35" tires.

Wow! The drive home was great. Climbing the I 10 grade East bound from Indio my truck, in S mode, use to shift at least 40 times between 3rd and 4th. After the KDMax Pro tune I put the truck in S mode at the bottom of the hill. I was Able to set the cruise control at 70 since it was a holiday weekend Sunday after noon. The truck climbed that grade bottom to top and never shifted once! I had to bump off the cruise control a few times and slow to 60-65. Not once did it shift or feel anything like it needed to. Thanks for the tune!

I've heard California is looking for tunes when you get your smog check. Will this tune show up and prevent passing your smog check?

 

We have smog tested a couple trucks since the new smog test and pass no issue.Had some customers also tested and reported no issue.

 

Good to hear. I have one more year I believe before I have to smog. This is the main thing that has held me back from getting the tune. Can you please PM me with pricing info?

Thanks for coming in Greg @fyrmng today. Greg's local to me here in Mission Viejo we got his 2021 OR flashed to KDMAX-Pro with Normal throttle.
He came back from his test drive and was extremely happy. So much so he decided to take a drive down to Dana point and enjoy some time at the beach!

Thanks Dave! It was great to meet you today and I appreciate you answering all my questions before, during, and after the tune. Prior to the tune, I felt my truck met all my needs but was underwhelmed with the drivability issues. I drive with a pretty light foot and that magnified the issues. I learned to adapt my driving to the truck. I've only driven 60 miles on the tune but this is truly a different truck! After discussing my driving style with Dave he suggested the KDMAX Pro Normal tune. Throttle is definitely more sensitive to input but in a good way compared to stock. RPMs build smoothly and shifts happen without me having to modulate the throttle. I've read a lot of posts where people state this is how it should have come from the factory...THEY'RE RIGHT! My drivability issues are resolved! I'm excited to see/feel how the tune settles in after some miles. Dave said there is a modest increase in HP and TQ. While I wasn't looking for more power I'm not going to argue having a bit more. In all honesty, after getting tuned, I would do it again just for the drivability improvements. I will report back in 500 miles.

P.S. Weather in Dana Point was soo nice that I took the coast up to Newport!

Thanks for coming this morning Alfred. Very clean 2017 Pro we got him updated to current ECU and flashed KDMAX-Pro with Sport throttle.
After his test drive he was very excited with the new drive ability of his truck!!

Danny came by with his 2017 4Runner we got him updated to the current ECU and Tuned him with KDMAX-Pro.
After his drive home Danny let me know how much smoother the shifting was and how nice the throttle responded!
