Kevin @Kwon20911 contacted me late last night he really wanted to get the KDMAX-Pro+XT. He lives in Bakersfield and I wouldn't be able to get out to him until next weekend at the earliest.
So he made the drive to me this morning. He has a really nice 2019 long bed Sport we got him updated to the current ECU ID and flashed to the Pro+XT with Sport throttle.
After a 10 minute test drive Kevin came back and was overjoyed with how his truck now drives. Glad you made the drive down Kevin it was good to meet you. Look forward to hearing how your enjoying the tune!!

Road trip to Santa Clarita this morning. Met up with Joel and his 2018 Pro. Updated his ECU ID and Flashed Pro+XT with Normal throttle.
Good meeting you Joel. Thanks for making the appointment time work out this morning. Enjoy the Pro+XT!!

 

Javier and Joel drove all the way from Mexicali this morning. We got his 2016 ECU updated from 04B00 to current 04B04 and flashed to KDMAX-PRO+XT with Sport throttle.
Javier took it for a test drive and he was super happy with how well it performed. It was good meeting both of you today. Enjoy the PRO+XT!!

 

Thanks Dave I absolutely love the tune. This should be everyone's 1st mod. Best way to describe the tune is it feels like the truck is super light. Like the truck went on a diet and lost like 300lbs. Does not feel bogged down at all like stock felt. Worth every penny.

Roland @AmateurTaco1313 came in this morning with his 2018 we updated him and flashed the KDMAX-Pro+XT with Normal throttle. After test driving he wanted to try out the Sport throttle and after test driving the Sport throttle he felt Sport was perfect for his driving style. Look forward to hear how your enjoying the Pro+XT on your 40 mile daily commute. It was nice meeting you Roland. Enjoy the Pro+XT tune!

Kevin @deusghozt Came in today with his brand new 2022 Limited with just over 250 miles on it. He was not a fan of the stock shift mapping.
We got him flashed to the KDMAX-Pro+XT with Normal throttle setting. He took it for a test drive came back really happy with the smooth predictable shifting and was thrilled with the extra Torque and HP. It was good meeting you Kevin. Let us know how your enjoying the Pro+XT!

 

Jon came by this afternoon with his 2017 Long bed. Really looking for better drive ability out of his truck. First we updated Jon and after talking for a while he chose Sport throttle and did a test drive. He returned from his test drive and was hooked on Sport! It was good talking with you Jon.

Nick came in this morning with his 2022 OR. We got him flashed to KDMAX-Pro+XT with Normal throttle. Took it for a test drive came back with that familiar "SMILE" on his face.

Steve @Oc4u74 came in this morning with his 2019 SR5 we updated and flashed the KDMAX-Pro+XT with Normal throttle setting. Steve took it for a nice test drive came back and was surprised how much the tune changed his truck! Steve was going to give his son the truck for his 16th birthday but Steve is thinking his son is going to get his civic now that his truck is so fun to drive now!!

Thanks for coming in this morning Christian with your 2017 TRD PRO. We updated his ECU and flashed the KDMAX-Pro+XT with Normal throttle. Christian was having thoughts of selling his truck but after his test drive he was blown away how well his truck was driving! He didn't think it was possible to make his truck this much fun to drive. No longer has any thoughts of selling his PRO. He cant wait to get back home to let his Dad drive it. His Dad has a Tacoma and will be likley be coming in really soon for his tune.

Cheng @lamjam came in early this morning with his 2021 OR. Cheng and I were going to meet up late last year but could never get a time that worked for both of us. He has been on Ovtune for a while and was looking for the next level. I reached back out to him recently and Bam! We made it work. We flashed Pro+XT with Normal throttle.
He took it for a nice test drive and was really shocked how much better his truck was performing.
It was good to finally meet you after all this time. Let us know how your enjoying the Pro+XT!

 

thanks Dave for the tune! Like Dave said I was OV tune but I actually couldn’t tell the difference between stock and OV. Thought maybe I drove too conservative, maybe the shifting was slightly better? Ended up pretty disappointed with it, so I thought all tunes were kind of a sham or all in peoples heads. When Dave saw that I was really disappointed with OV he reached out and asked me to try his tune.

Soon as I pulled out his drive way I could tell right away how much better the truck drove. It just drives so much better now. No more lag, fuel mileage is improved. I’m a believer! Don’t even bother with OV or anything else!

Just wanted to say thanks to Dave and the KD Max team.

I have been bugging Dave since 2021 about tuning my truck. Unfortunately, Toyota updated the ECU on the 4Runners in late 2019. So I had to wait while all my Taco buddies got their KD Max tunes and raved about.

I have been using a Sprint Booster for a while due to the slow acceleration and it did it's part for a while but I wanted the overall performance of the truck improved. I met up Dave this morning and he tried 2 different tunes. I believe the first was the regular KD Max Pro tune (Correct me if I'm wrong, Dave) and we took it out for a test drive. Right away you can feel the acceleration difference. Opening it up on the streets felt great. Shifting was ridiculously smooth and predictable. Could barely feel some of the shifts. There is noticable throttle response whenever you need it. We then headed back and tried out the KD Max Pro XT. Now this was very same as before but seemed a little more responsive. Climbing up hills was easy and I didn't have to floor the pedal. Overall this is EXACTLY what I was looking for with a tune. I highly recommend hitting up your local KD Max guys to get your 4Runners tuned.



I will post an update in a few weeks after I run a few tanks of gas. But sitting in traffic on the home was actually bearable because I was playing with the throttle

Yes we added 10% more throttle on the final tune we ran the KDMAX-Pro+XT.
