Tim came in this morning with his 2022. He has been so disappointed with terrible gear hunting both on the highway and around town. We got him flashed to Pro-9.0 with the N-L throttle setting. He went for his test drive and just kept going. He later called me to say "It's great thanks so much" Glad your happy Tim that's what its all about.

 

Met up with Roland @AmateurTaco1313 with his 2018 Sport. He was tuned last July and has done a few more mods and was looking to get upgraded to the current Pro-9.0.
Flashed him to Pro-9.0 with Normal throttle. He went for a test drive and returned with a smile. "This feels great perfect throttle setting" Glad you like it Roland.

Bernie and Gary Came in this afternoon. Bernie with his 2017 we updated and flashed Pro-9.0 with N-L throttle. Bernie had heard his father in law talking about his 2019 4Runner how the throttle and power he wasn't happy with. Bernie gave his father in law a birthday gift. The Pro-9.0 for his 4Runner now they are both dialed in. Bernie's gear hunting and poor throttle response is a thing of the past. Gary is liking the new throttle response he may even bump it up after he gets some good daily driving miles on it. It was nice meeting both of you and good talking with you guys.

Slade contacted me early yesterday morning. He was looking to get his 2021 Tacoma tuned. Had him come in later that morning. He was looking to improve the shifting and throttle response. After flashing him with the normal setting Slade took it for a nice test drive came back with that "SMILE" on his face. He was really impressed with all the improvements more then he expected. It was good meeting you. Enjoy the tune!

 

Had a house call in Hesperia early this morning met up with Diego with his 2020MT. Updated and flashed with Sport throttle. Diego went out for a good long test drive came back he was amazed at how much the tune improved his rev hang as well as the power delivery has eliminated the need for earlier downshifts. We talked about the accumulator delete mod for the MT's he will be looking into doing that mod soon. It was good meeting you Diego just let me know when you get your regear done and we can meet up to update your tune.

 

Aaron came in this morning with his 2019 OR. We tuned him last year. Aaron was looking to get upgraded and he loves the Sport throttle. It was good seeing you again Aaron.

Brian came in this afternoon with his Army Green 2020 Pro 4Runner. We got him tuned with the Sport throttle and after his test drive he was really happy with the improvements. His wife will have to do some driving to see how well she will like the Sport throttle. Have a great time at Disneyland! It was really nice to meet your family.

 

Nathan @LilTexan22 came in this morning with his 2017 2.7. Got him flashed with KDMAX he was coming from a pedal commander so we went right with the Sport throttle.
After his test drive he came back with that big "KDMAX SMILE" on his face. He was really impressed with the improved power and the throttle response was spot on for his driving style and his truck setup. He cant wait to get out on the highway. He said he wished he had heard about the tune sooner. Glad your really happy with the tune Nathan feel free to leave a review for the other 2.7 owners looking to get tuned. Prasanta @vattarai brought his 2021 in for an upgrade. He was tuned back in Aug, 2021. He called from the gear shop he was adding 5.29's wanted to get upgraded with a 5.29 setting and with Normal throttle as soon as he could. It was good seeing you again Prasanta enjoy the tune!

 

We are going to go ahead with release today instead of the 7th. It is Saturday and a good time to be able to respond to PM's.

Hey guys, Jacob here with DyNomad.
I'll post up some key notes about the Dyno.
First off, you cannot compare different vehicles, on different days, with different dynos, running in different gears. You will only go around in circles with someone trying to nit pick the results. It is pointless to compare a stock trucks power output using a Dynocom Dyno to a stock truck using a Dynojet. It is universally accepted that Dynojets are the highest reading dynos on the market. This is why so many tuning companies prefer them, because the average consumer is to naïve to understand that the peak power output a dyno shows is arbitrary.
What a dyno does is shows a delta. That is the only factor that matters. I wouldn't matter if this dyno showed that it made 100hp, the delta would still be the same percentage of change between the runs. Only focus on the gains overt stock. If 9.0 makes 10 more hp then stock on this dyno, it will make 10 more hp then stock on a dynojet.
The 3rd gear vs 4th can skew results. The real reason why most people use 3rd in these trucks is because of wheel speed. In 4th we ran this truck to 140mph, clinching our buttcheeks the whole time. At these speeds, driveshaft failure can occur from critical speed failure. Fortunately, we didn't have that problem, we just sent it for the science. When someone uses a non 1:1 ratio in the trans, or close to it, the torque values are usually misrepresented. Now, this can be corrected depending on the type of pickup that is used by the dyno operator. I would assume that the other guys used an optical pickup on the crank, or possibly an inductive pick up on the coil wire. IF they used that, the results are not so skewed, but if they used something called "snapshot" which relies on the synchronization of the wheel speed in 1:1 gear vs the roller speed, the results can be very skewed. Either way, 3rd gear is a torque multiplier. I guarantee if they ran in 4th, the results would not be the same.
People are going to get hung up on the overall peak power output and see that others show a higher number. There is unfortunately nothing that can be done about it. They did however use a lower correction factor that will read a little lower, which is surprising. They used SAE, we used STD. Its a subtle difference, but its there.
The big take away from this is the smoothness of the curve with the KD Max Tune. You can quite literally feel the difference. Look at the power difference under the curve between stock and 10.0. It is massive in some spots. You can clearly tell where the stock ecu is pulling timing around max torque. It is too conservative. The 10.0 keeps timing in there, maybe a slight adjustment after peak tq, and then ramps it back in. Stock wavers a bit. This is due to being on 87 octane. Others were on 91 octane. If we were to run this truck on 93, the difference would be even more substantial, but then again the stock tune would also increase in power.
Happy to answer anymore questions you guys may have. Remember, you are not selling these tunes for HP gains. You are selling drivability enhancements, the added hp and tq are just the icing on the cake!
