Well, I've gone through the three tanks of gas recommended by Dave (actually 6 half tanks as I try not to let it go below half) and I'm pleased with the Tune (Performance Tune, 87 Octane, Automatic). The truck now accelerates when I expect it to on curves and in U-turns, and when I need it to. It is much smoother on the freeway and much more enjoyable to drive.

Dave tuned my truck on April 1st, and I gotta say I'm really loving the tune. I went with the KDMAX 6.0 (87 octane), regular tip in throttle. My truck is stock, no lift, OEM SPORT wheels and tires. No more sluggish acceleration at all, the truck just goes! And my MPG has actually increased. I used to average around 19 to 20 MPG but here is what I got today on my commute to work.
    20210427_125615.jpg

Also, last weekend I towed our pop up tent trailer to Calico Ghost Town and the truck did GREAT. Even going up the Cajon Pass I averaged a little over 16 MPG when we arrived. On the way home it did even better. 17.6 MPG

The pop up is 1,950 dry, not sure exactly how much weight was added with us and all of our gear, but the truck did really really well. I kept it in S4, with ECT on. If you are on the fence about getting this tune, I'd say just go for it! It actually makes the truck fun to drive. It was money well spent. Thanks once again @TWTaco and @PapaRee for an awesome tune!

    Hi Dave,
Please let me know how to contact you about a tuning. I really do not like the original ecu shifting points. Tried ect always on and took it out. Using ssp 2.0 and it is better, but not perfect. Please contact me and I can let you know my Tacoma’s details. Thanks, dale

I am interested but a bit confused. Why is it $300 if the tune package is only $100 from PapaRee?

The files are $100. This is for people who have spent $350 on Vftuner already.

To get updated and tuned by us is $300. You don’t have to do anything.

You are welcome to purchase Vftuner and then buy the files for $100. That is no problem.

@PapaRee , I purchased a OVTune cable second hand a while ago. What would I need to do to get up and running to flash your tune myself?
