Spent some time here reading all the various setups.

Truck in subject: 2021 TRD OR DCSB (new as of 8/1/2021)

Just looking for a little conformation of my thought process.

    So I have ordered:
Front & Rear Blist 5100's (most likely notched to 3rd or 4th clip)
    Icon AAL
    5x Motegi MR150 17" 8.5w 0° offset bronze wheels
    5x Falken Wildpeak A/TW3's 275/70/17R

Looks like the wheels and tires will be here this week for mounting and balance.

My understanding is I can re-use the TPMS from the old on the wheels (and that is what Discount Tire says as well) Yes?

I should be able to stuff those on for now until the lift components arrive (will be doing the lift myself with help from a friend). yes?

I have no trips planned on or offroad right now. (Work from home and busy work season), so honestly the truck down time really isn't a matter.

Once all those pieces together get a good aligment and call it day, no?

Happy Monday folks. Sorry if this is a lame post, just when money goes out the door you start 2nd guessing your path. LOL.

The TSS stuff, well..... we will see, but based on reading here I have a pretty good chance it will be a non issue.

Is there something you would do different?

it might rub a little bit until you get it lifted but it should fit.

TSS will probably be a non-issue.

TPMS - Discount Tire will handle this all for you.

I'd do lift -> tires -> alignment but with your chosen tire size it shouldn't matter.

If you go with wheels/tires now, I wouldn't bother with an alignment until after the lift. YRMV

Thanks @Tacomod , that is sort of what I figured. I would do the lift first, but wheels tires will be here sooner. I could always hold on those being installed and wait..... but who are we kidding, waiting sucks.

Just don't drive a ton before you get it lifted and realigned. Would be a shame to start cupping your new tires.

Right? Wheels tires should/wouldn't have any bearing, while i know the lift will call for the align.

Like @Tacomod said, you might have some rubbing with those tires without the lift, but you might not, who knows.

Kudos for doing the lift install yourself - it really isn't too bad. Took me about 7 hours total to do front and back by myself (plus the "help" of my at the time 4 year old). You'll probably need a spring compressor unless you plan on doing the semi-sketchy method. Most of the tools are available on the loan program from Autozone/Advance.

Ya, I spent some 10 years with my 94' Land Cruiser and help manage our local club, I have good support/friends as far as people that spin wrenches better than I.

My opinion: Practically speaking, wheels and tires + lift at same time, then immediate alignment. You'll end up taking the wheels off to install the lift anyways, so why not save yourself some duplicative effort.

    alternatively,
    1. wheels and tires
    2. lift+align

I honestly rubbed with BFG KO2 265 70 17 but it isnt bad. Its only on the front drivers side at full lock when i pull into or out of my driveway or on large speed bumps. My wheels are zero offset as well.

Oh I totally get it. Wheels and tires now shouldn't cause an issue unless the rubbing is absurd.

Ya, we aren't talking months, but maybe a month or so before lift pieces arrive and get in a buddies garage to install.

Will for sure need to remove mud flaps if you have them and just take it easy on speed bumps and curbs. You will have a slight rub regardless but nothing thats going to cause issues.
