I daily drive a diesel, I'd never own one if I didn't pull heavy trailers, its an expensive waste IMO. Currently I have a 2014 Ram cummins, before that it was a 2011 duramax. The diesels just cost a lot more to keep on the road, and out of warranty any repairs will cost thousands of dollars.

What's all these issues? I'm looking at buying a '16-'17 Tacoma. They're nice looking. Or should I get an older one?

    Just whiners from Honda forum.
Lot of small crap like plastic plugs missing and a TSB for tranny etc.
Few people have problems and think the whole world does.

There's no negotiating in So Cal on the configuration I want. I only got $500 off when I mentioned that I bought my last vehicle from them and to keep me from going to the competitor. I'd be doubtful of any "negotiating" anyone claims they did around here. They wouldn't accept Costco pricing or anything.

Kudos! Its a great truck. I have the TRD off road 4x4 and its great. Not one issue with it and I bought it during the dead of winter (01/16). I love
    the heated seats. haha

Does anyone ever ask the dealer to swap the tires with the BFG KO2 right off the start getting a little credit for existing?

Where in New England are you? I negotiated $100 above invoice with a dealer in CT.

Southern NH but I have looked as far north as Portland Maine and southern MA. What is the dealer name in CT?

    Thanks!

Just email blast them, ask them how close to invoice they can get you, tell them you already have one at $500 over invoice -- can they do better ? there are only a handful in the Valley (Phoenix area)... I'd start with Riverview though. Tell them you do not want to talk on the phone. If they're not willing to deal over email, you'll move to the next.

Used to hike the Vicksburg Military Park back in the day with my scout troop. Lovely city. How's your truck tolerating these hot and humid MS summers?

Did they raise the price on the 2017 models? Just got my 2016 double cab off road with tech and premium pack and had a sticker of 39k. Only thing I didn't get was bed mat and step bars.

Maaaannnnn 39k for a TRD OR seems high. Am I the only one? I mean for roughly 2-4k more you can get the TRD PRO.....depending on whether you go automatic or manual.

Im getting a New Tacoma 4x4 SR AC 5speed 4Cyl, around January i will order before i get home from over seas, and i was originally interested in the utility package, but i notice on truck builder, they dont have the utility package listed anymore for the 2017s. All they have is imo, stoupid rockstar package now. Did they get rid of the utility package? Cause for some people my self included, im shure liked the option of being able to get it as an option.
