Ordered Super White TRD Pro

Have been doing some searching online. Can find Voo Doo Blue and Black but would only be happy with White. Do not want to settle for a color I don’t like for the price of the truck. If it happens all well and good. Dealer by me has a 18 in Calvary Blue and wants above MSRP. Crazy and I told him so. Truck is a leftover period!!

Totally agree. My current truck is a 16 Colorado with the Diesel option. Love the fuel mileage and pulling power this little engine delivers. Wife does not find it comfortable and says buy something else. She is ok with the Pro. She came with me on the road test and gave the ok on comfort. lol. I call it the “ass test”.

I received word from the salesperson at the Toyota dealership of a temporary VIN for the Tacoma on order. Guess it’s a happening build.

Truck was built on Jan 24, shipped by rail on the 25th and is currently sitting on a train in Blue Island, Illinois. I have the true VIN, due to be delivered by the 13th of February .

 

Although I had my doubts, Dealer kept his promise. Guess I am lucky ?

 

Ordered a '19 Pro on January 17th. No word as of yet for me. Surprised they couldn't source a white one with an AT for you. They have 2 at the dealer I ordered mine. Closest configuration to what I wanted (Blue 6MT) was in GA and that was too far to swap.

 

Dealer was able to find out if a Super White Pro was being built, this took about 1 month. Found out how it was being built, sent me a copy of the build sheet, tweaked the order with less options to meet my request and sent me the scheduled approximate build date. It was in his allocation I am certain. 8 weeks total wait time. Kept his word. Hang in there !!

Mpg- Now that is something that really gets the blood pumping around here on TW - In one hand there are those who get terrible fuel mileage and have no qualms about telling you that it is the Tacoma's fault blah blah blah..... then in the other hand there are those who do well on the Mpg and are happy with it.

It really comes down to just a very few things like your driving style - gotta be the first one off the line from the light? well that sucks gas to do.... Drive like they all seems to do here in Utah? speed limit is 70 but they all... well seems like all do 85...

And Mods yes Mods are Cool, Mods are awesome looking some of us actually need and use them but then like a truck I saw a few weeks ago he has every single thing you can buy and then some packed on his "Off Road" truck from a massive front bumper with a dual spare tire swing out bumper on the back a pair of sliders that would look more at home on a Mack Tractor than his Taco big and I mean big tires and the part that made me laugh the most was the 4 five gallon fuel cans and I'm sure he needs those more than anything else on that truck.

I get reasonable Mpg I do take my truck off road I don't Grandpa drive but I'm also not rock crawling MOAB. In all the Tacoma does have the ability to get good Fuel Mileage and if you are not careful it will get poor Mpg there is a fine line perhaps too fine between getting good Mpg and bad and that seems to be where the issues are due to the weight and Tacoma's abilities to deliver with the added weight.

 

They said the same to me when I "ordered" a 2018 TRD pro. They said 6-7 weeks and it should be here, turns out it when to about 9 weeks and they didn't even order it. They found one and had it shipped over and when it got here I asked "where are all the accessories I ordered". They're response"what accessories?". So then they put on the TRD cold air intake and TRD exhaust for no cost of labor and gave me the original parts in which I sold

 

I totally would have, but I got "mine" for nearly $1k below MSRP. Believe me, I was tempted haha.
