My EGR don't squeak either but I did add a little extra foam tape because I had to pull them off and on a couple times for tint then re tint.

Got the Weathertechs. Local shop got them in <48 hours from my call. Never had them before and now don't think I could go without them.

Wow. What a night. First no mpg display on a Tacoma, rendering mpg calculation impossible, now those useless vendors will NOT send out a vent guard today to arrive today.

How can we go on in a world like this?

Which begs the question.... If it's a blizzard outside why the hell would you want your windows rolled down in the first place?

I wish I had your problems....

Read my sobriety thread then you will know what real problems are just to put it in some perspective.

For future reference, Amazon.com does stock a lot of the weathertech stuff. Probably could've had them in 1 day if you really wanted to.

I know I am reviving an old thread but I figured it was more appropriate than starting a new one for my question….

I installed a set of WeatherTech Front & Rear Deflectors back in November 2010 and two days ago the rear passenger deflector fell out of the window while it was down. Fortunately this happened while parked at a local BBQ.

I need to replace the 2 sided tape but what type of tape do you folks recommend? This 3M/Scotch stuff will hold up to 5 pounds but it looks much thicker than the tape originally provided by WeatherTech which is very thin. The WeatherTech tape is about 1/4" wide and the 3M tape is 1" wide. I thought I would ask here before driving around town looking for narrow 2 sided tape.

What is this rain you speak of? Are you talking about actual drops of water falling from the sky? I want some of that...

Mine came loose going 60mph down the road...luckily it flew into the back seat. Havent found any tape thin enough to fit in the door seal at the auto parts stores.

I just installed a set of WeatherTech in channels in my double cab a couple weeks ago. (Ordered on Amazon and received in about 3 days with free shipping.) Not sure if WeatherTech changed them or not, but I don't see how they could possibly fall out of any window or why you would need to tape with them. I had to bend mine so much to get them in the window channels, it seems impossible that they could just fall out.

On another note; I went back and forth between AVS, EGR, and WeatherTech. Ended up with the WeatherTech and have 0 complaints, wish I would have gotten them sooner. Another thing I like is that they seem to make the air flow in the cab quieter when the windows are down.

I love mine too. It is the rear window deflector that fell out, those rely on tape to keep them in place.

I found this 1/4" wide tape after my last post. I will try the local auto part stores before getting it on Amazon.
