Would agree with this. When I ordered my Sport this year, the dealer here in Idaho did an allocation swap with a dealer in Maryland. My dealer had a cement color and they had my Quicksand.

Mine too...but the dealer I saw these had a markup, which is why they were still on the lot.

Makes sense. I like my truck but not enough to send the dealerships kid to college.

Toyota of Escondido. Just FYI, they have been pretty consistent with having a 5k markup, but if they have 2 on the lot, who knows. Maybe they’d come down a bit.

Mods: Is this still a Tacoma?
California I tell ya...they make you believe paying MSRP for a PRO is a steal that will rarely happen. I mean a $5-$7K markup, really? I’m not one to ever pay MSRP for a vehicle but to each his own. I’d shop out of state for a PRO if I had to and have it transported. California dealers think anyone in the market for a PRO is filthy rich...it’s still a Toyota, and it’s still a Tacoma. MSRP should be the cap out here at the very least. It’s not a Supra. This is craziness! I couldn’t find a Cement Limited 4x2 out here in January that didn’t have $4k of useless accessories. All were 4x4 and only 3 4x2 without extra BS add on a in the whole US at the time without anything more than mudguards and tonneau cover, which I would gladly accept. I don’t even want these extra accessories SoCal dealers added so negotiating at best would get me back to MSRP...nope, sorry. Bought from Oklahoma for $1,000 under invoice haggle free over the phone, had it shipped to SoCal.

I'd try to find a 17 pro used first before dropping the full amount on an order. I really like mine, think it rides great from the factory and will probably never upgrade the suspension, but I'm also realistic about my offload usage, don't have any free time to mod my vehicle myself (despite really enjoying doing the work myself), and love the styling. Flame away OR hardos! :crapstorm:

Larry H Miller has dealerships all over. They can get you whatever you want. Whoever you spoke with must be new or having a bad day or something. He probably meant you can't order them YET.

Pro is a great way to get started when your wife says you just bought a new truck why are getting a new insert mod here. My 2011 TX Pro now has a better suspension, tires, electronics, etc. but the truck is paid off.

Here's the difference between the two with the OR specced out similarly to the Pro (minus the moon roof/JBL on the pro). Another big difference to consider also is the discount you can get on an OR vs the Pro, but maybe resell value helps that somewhat. I'm not sure.

I'm not "currently" planning on ever upgrading the suspension and there's no way I'd be allowed to buy a $3000 suspension after buying any car. I would have had to have the dealer install it to finance it in the same loan and that would be a rip off also.

True. I agree the moonroof adds value to some. I need the headroom and didn’t consider moonroof to be practical for on off road vehicle.
Didn’t want a subwoofer or JBL either. But that does add value I’m sure. I went with the $250 Kicker upgrade well known on the forum, and molle storage system for behind back seat. Maybe I’ll put a sub under the seat eventually.

I really like having the Sunroof and Heated Seats in mine, kinda glad it did not come with JBL either as I did the Kicker upgrade too.

    Yeah.
Thank you for posting that. Lots of misinformation out here. I got mine for $3000 under sticker, so paid basically about what MSRP would be on a similarly equipped Offroad.

The Pro Fox suspension is good -- maybe not lifted, but it is significantly better than the 4100's, and better than 5100's. I have no reason to change it.
