Wow, page 2 has so much to work with.

Hey, oh wait I may need to yell. HEY OLD TIMER, WHY YOU GROUPING EVERYONE TOGETHER. I AM NOT A MILLENNIAL, AND NEITHER IS MY WIFE. WE BUY MANUAL TRANSMISSION VEHICLES (NOT STANDARDS ANYMORE) BECAUSE THEY ARE BETTER TO DRIVE IN OUR OPINION. I AM SORRY TO HEAR THAT YOU HAVE BEEN TRAUMATIZED BY THE NEED TO DRIVE MANUALS, I HAD A CHOICE AND PREFER THE CONNECTION OR CONTROL I HAVE WITH THE TRANSMISSION. SHIT, I GUESS I JUST HAVE A CONTROL ISSUES.

I’d still take the old phone if it was an option, less cancer potential, less aggravation with all the stupid shit the add, and less likely someone is going to bug me when I’m not around the phone, oh and less expectation that I must work outside of my working hours (which is killing our society by the way). But nope, we must advance with technology no matter how bad it fucks up or society.

Practice, and you need to hold it just right so the drips are not noticeable to others.

Again, seems. Oh forgot old timer. AGAIN, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO APPEARS TO BE TRIGGRED BY YOUR P.T.S.D. OF DRIVING MANUALS.

I bought a 2018 dcsb TRD Tacoma off-road 4x4 with the automatic February of 2018. Before purchase I test drove the AT at like 4 different dealerships on their various test drive loops. The trans seemed like it'd hunt a bit, but not awful. Pulled the trigger on one and I guess I picked a dud. That trans made me hate that truck. I owned it for 11 months, it was at two different dealers about every two months or so. The shifting was terrible. It'd hunt, the 2-1 downshift would feel like you got in a real light rear end accident with a golf cart every 10 stops or so, if in sequential mode the downshift could almost boarder on rough. I just didn't care for it. It didn't drive like any auto I've owned. I wanted it to drive like my wife's 2017 4runner so badly and it just wouldn't. After software updates, fluid level checks and some master tech dude hooking it to a computer, driving it for a couple days and basically saying it's a software issue that they are aware of and to wait it out I threw in the towel. I LOVED that truck, but that clunky trans bummed me out. Sold the Tacoma and got a 2019 tundra sport crew Max short bed 4x4. It drives like I think an auto should and the 5.7 is a hoot. All that said, I miss the size and feel of the Tacoma. I went and test drove the 2020 off-road 4x4 dcsb with the manual yesterday. If I had bought my off-road in 2018 with the manual I'd still have it. Totally different truck. I hear the 2020 auto shifts better, but I'll never know because I'll never drive one again, it really disappointed me. We're considering the 2020 TRD PRO with the manual in army green. Dealer is checking to see if they can get the one I want sooner than later. I'll know by tomorrow afternoon sometime. If not I think we'll be ordering one. Still deciding, it'd feel weird to step down in size and horsepower from tundra to Tacoma. The heart wants what the heart wants....

No, the tundra would be sold and a pro Tacoma would be purchased.

Lager or Pilsner, either one is usually good. You can’t go wrong.

Bro I would eat a carne asada burrito in rush hour traffic in socal, dipping in hot sauce from the center console. While rowing gears.

Next he's going to ask what oil to put in it :boom:

There are very passionate people here in both camps.

Best way is to test drive both, and take them up some hills with long grades if you can.

    IMO:

The big con to MT in a PRO or TRD OR is loss of the computer aided off-road do-dads like CRAWL and MTS (another controversial issue) but still paying the premium price for the package.

Yes the auto hunts around gears, the manufacturer built in two overdrive gears for fuel efficiency at highway speeds, and it tries to find the most fuel efficient gear to be in. Problem being the system tries to react quickly and usually up windy mountain roads, the terrain changes quickly (corners, up hill/down hill) leading to the computer shifting issues. I usually just put it in sequential mode S4 up grades and work the gears myself.

I love my auto coming from a manual Mustang GT, moved from the burbs/rural to the city working a clutch in traffic sucks.
I also love having CRAWL and MTS if I feel like being lazy and it has gotten me out of situations that my idiocy put me in when out solo.
