I plan on ordering new suspension parts for my 2004, V6 DC 4wd TRD. I've been dealing with axle wrap for over a year now and figure it's time.

    Here's what I'm getting:

Bilstein 5100 front and rear from Downsouth Motorsports 334 shipped

General Spring HD leaf pack - 360 plus shipping

Plan on setting the shocks at 1.25

Debated on front coils like OME 881's or MOOG paired with Rancho 2.0's, but not sure I need coils as the front sits up nice and high still @ 135k miles. I've never bottomed the front out yet....

I'm looking for a slight lift, with extra load capacity. Hopefully this will do it!

    Thoughts?

What rear shocks are you going with? I recommend 5100's, the rear ends of these trucks really need help.

I think you will be very happy with that set up. Are your front coils in good shape, mine is an 03 and the coils were sagging pretty bad. I added Moog non TRD 460lb coils with mine set at 1.25". Very good ride. Sorry, just saw where you stated your coils were good.

While youre in there, why not replace the ball joints and bushings.

If there is nothing wrong with them then why change them?

I meant in the event any of those are due for replacement.

I just re-did my front. took 4 days, ugh. those bushings were a bitch and the sleeves for the LCA suck.

btw the General Springs will give you factory ride height (with more load capacity) after they settle a bit so you may have "bro lean" after the first year if you raise the front

But is original height an even stance? I was under the impression Tacomas had a slight forward rake. But, since I've never seen a new one ...

right now it's wack cause the rear isn't done haha. but yes trucks usually come with the "rake" as they were meant to be level when hauling.
