BTW, a couple pages back was talk of getting the HF 12k winch. If you sign up in the store for their coupons to come in the mail, the winch has been in there too, and the coupons take the advertised sale price down a little more.

I briefly thought about the HF winch, but I have instead been looking into Promark 12k winches with 2 stage planetary gearing. Has something like 293 amp power draw compared to others of similar capacity being closer to 500 amp. Prices range from about $500-1000 on the depending on the bells and whistles you want.

Don't get all Bobert on us. Next you'll have a backhoe in your yard for ease of cleaning.

I'm already jealous you can do pistol shooting in your backyard.

Anyone here ever deal with All American Canopies? The little info I'm able to find isn't too comforting, although the negative things I've come across are several years old.

I'm looking to buy a Snugtop canpopy this weekend so I'm hoping they stand behind their work and have reasonable pricing.

    Cheers

Are you looking for a full on canopy or a soft top cover?

I don't know anything about all-American, but I know snugtop is some of the best.

The reason I asked is because I will have my soft top vanish access cover for sale sooner or later.

I would look around your area for a truck/suv specific sales place before anyone on the internet.

Thanks for the input. It seems OR is limited to the number of Snugtop dealers and All American is the only dealer in the Portland general area.

    About $22,000.00

It's amazing what persistence and a little ambition to educate yourself on what exactly you are expected to pay for can do.

I think they prey upon people that think they're just hopeless from the start with regards to reducing a huge bill.

I sought out facts, statistics and actually billing rates to use as evidence for getting my charges lowered. They're not used to that. When confronted with real-world data on what things should cost - they were devoid of any reasons why I was being overcharged 351%..

    I'm pretty stoked.

Made it clear that I was going to pay, just not a hyper-inflated rate.

Congrats man. Erica is an RN and knows how much they over charge for crap. They used to be told to make sure they change the towels even if they weren't used so they could charge them towel use. Meds were up charged... one tylenol at the hospital would cost you $40. Tooth brushes, combs, kleenexes, water.

A bag of fluids in the hospital was $100+
