When I did my Nokia 920 a year ago, it went not so well. I bought a little tool set and got it disassembled fine, but then it didn't power back up. I realized I had pinched a ribbon wire that contains the buttons putting it back together. Looked all over and got a replacement ribbon wire from China. Put that all together and it looked like it might start up but no joy. :( Yes, the videos made it look easy but I wasn't very good at it. I ended up making a claim on my insurance with a $120 deductible.

    Wrong thread, noob!! :D

Cartoys just wants to gt you in and out. They aren't going to trash it, but it's very rushed work and is a pain to work on if you ever have to get back in there.
There's a guy on NWOverland that owns a shop in Vancouver. I'd give him a try.
Mitch also seemed to have found a good shop.

So did you end up getting an elk? Just got home from ten days in the woods. Had four different bulls under twenty yards, couldn't get a shot. Shot at a dandy mule deer and hit a tree limb. At least it was a clean miss. I say this every year, but this is the last year I'm bow hunting lol. Saw at least 20 bulls six point and above... in the back of someone else's pickup. :(

Nope. :( Got to within 10 yards of a 6x6 by pure accident. To much brush in the way so I had to stand up to attempt a shot and he was gone before I was all the way up. Spot and stalked into a herd that was bedded down. Probably my best stalk so far. Ended up putting an arrow a couple inches over the back of a bull. No freaking reason I should have missed. Must have flinched or something. Had numerous times when the cows and calves would be in bow range, but the damn bull would stay just outside of what I'm comfortable shooting at. So frustrating, but exciting at the same time. Oh well, centerfire deer opens next weekend. At least I won't have to worry about getting close haha.

A guy down the road got the 7x7 I almost had opening day.

    Here's the 6x6 this morning:

And him again the day after I had him at 10 yards:

I totally understand man. I talked to a lot of dude's who don't get to experience what we did, and it will just make us that much better next year. I think I'm going to try to set up a stand at a natural funnel, spot and stalk is impossible. It's like the elk have some magical sixth sense or something.

That's definitely true. There are a lot of guys who don't even see bulls or get close to them. Got to spend plenty of time watching the calves goof off and the bulls piss with each other. It could be worse. Still, 3rd year without an elk now. Sometimes I wonder why I switched to bow from rifle and then I remember rifle season is only 4 days. At least with bow I get some awesome experiences even if I don't fill the tag.

I need to look into LOP tags. I heard rumor you get a longer season or something?

See, I've been using a couple natural funnels on our property. The herd was being little bitches and not using it this season, so this morning I adjusted to a field I knew they would be in and set up where they had been going into the woods from it. This morning was the first time they used that frigging funnel. Its 50 yards across max from the creek to the tree line. I've had some success with spot and stalk. Mostly, because I'm hunting property that I know the terrain of like the back of my hand. Spot and stalk doesn't work nearly as well on land I don't know haha. My calling still needs work. Enough people hunt this herd that they are really good at calling bs on calls. If I could get good enough to get them to respond and not take off at the sound of my calls...

Ya my family has LOP tags that run from Sep-March I think. As a landowner you just have to fill out some forms and mail them in, the amount of acres you own dictates how many tags you get I think. There are some other "damage control" hunts too if you are having problems with them tearing up ag land.
