Some kid is trying to drive to Alaska from the east coast with like $1000. Asks for advice, everyone chimes in, he ignores them, etc.

Even better, he is moving up there to work at a fish cannery for like $12 an hour or something. I'm not knocking his hustle, but if you read the wild ass shit he wrote you'd understand. Like said if he breaks down on the Alcan he'd walk "hundreds of miles" to the next gas station, etc. Just reads like the wild dreams of a 12 year old...

i'm having a terrible time finding a home to rent in the beaverton/aloha/tigard/hillsboro area. i can't believe how much people expect for rent, $1500+, and no pets on nearly every listing... may as well buy a house for that kind of payment

 

The smell of napalm in the evening breeze.... of a fucking mall. That was WAY too funny not to read.

 

Buy a boat and live on the river! Then you could talk like a pirate whenever you damn well please. I wish I hadn't bought my house and rented. Being a home owner is over rated. Houses are more expensive than all my offroad toys. Maybe try CL?

 

I understand those prices in Beaverton and Tigard. Home prices have increased dramatically in the past 4 years. I can't wait till we sell our house........

 

they have increased a lot, but interest rates being low again... ffs.. we have until april @ our current apt. tired of the apt life. when did you buy your house mitch?

 

If you can afford, buy. If you have to move, rent the damn place out. Plenty of loans available that don't require a down payment these days.
