i meant not getting the double cab... Its hard to fit ppl in the AC cab. I've had mine for 7 year meow and there are so many times i've wished I paid the extra grand for the rear seats.

Tent looks good! Is it the Mt. Cayley, or did they start making the Shasta cover in black and white too?

Either way, nice buy. Love mine.

Its not enough to make it worth the drive. There are some that pot up around the barns every spring. I just shoot them when they give me the chance. Can't sit out and depend on them to show up. The ground squirrels out here don't set up camp in the fields, just around barns and abandoned homes. Its almost a bummer there aren't more to shoot haha.

My buddy with the ranch outside Tygh Valley has some excellent squirrel hunting. Its so nice to sit out in a field for a day and have targets constantly popping up.

Using the winch to perform some fine machine adjustments haha

My AC is gone is probably 18 months. Then it's either a DC or a 4Runner

^ I bent my hi lift trying to straighten some bent tubing in a similar fashion. Is that out at Millican? Looks like Oregon high desert. I miss the desert.

Squirrels around here build large colonies, but the window of opportunity is short for shooting them. They don't come out of hibernation until it warms up, then in just a few weeks the grass is too tall and you can't see the bastards anymore.

My new pair of Danners just showed up. Holy chit! I'm feeling slightly feminine by admitting it; but these boots are awesome. They replaced a pair of North Face's that were completely worn out - finally had the sense to go for a "real" pair of boots.

    These: http://www.danner.com/product/hike/danner-light-ii-6-brown.html

Made in USA, re-craftable and Vibram out sole.

Too bad the next time I'll be in Tygh Valley is when it's harvest time. I do some subcontract farming work at some blueberry fields in that area.

Yep, that's at Millican. I love making trips out there. So beautiful.

Yea, that's what it seems like they do over there. Out here its smaller colonies. Luckily there is plenty of stuff for them to perch on around buildings, so they are shootable all summer.

I really need to get out east to pop some before the grass grows up.

Nice! I have a buddy that has a ranch out there. Beautiful area.

Find my biggest elk shed so far today.

That's a hooter! Sheds are high this year, I bet you get a couple bills out of that easy. I'd make something cool out of it like a coat rack or something.

Lmk what you think about the tent, im torn between this and the mt rainier. If you could post the pic of it folded on the truck (side profile) that would help me alot. I think im running the same rear bar setup as well.

    MT rainer is adequately larger.

We had the hood, same size no overhang, and never planned more than 2 ppl and we found it to be larger than necessary for two. Weight wise, Shasta is much more friendly. We also found Shasta to warm up easier
