No kidding. I'm so tired of the point system I've been applying for jobs in Alaska. It would be cool to kill a moose with my recurve...

Well, as archers, we're lucky that most of the state is OTC, but Oregon does have a point creep problem. Every year the odds get worse, and a lot of the people putting in for the hunts aren't prepared and/or have no knowlegde of the units they're applying for. They just didn't want to pass on the opportunity to draw, which is only $8 in May. A lot of guys put their wives/GF or kids in to up their chances. i think ODFW should require every hunter that applies for a controlled hunt to pay the tag fee by May 15, and if unsuccessful, ODFW will offer a refund or an OTC tag.

The $8 draw fee is doubling next year, and it's non refundable. A bunch of other fees are going up as well- http://www.statesmanjournal.com/sto...hing-license-fees-need-go-odfw-says/10044673/

Back in the day, when Washington branch antler tags were more common, the odds for a Walla Walla Watershed tag draw were 1 in 10. Very tough hunt, much tougher to get a bull out of the hole, so only folks who knew what they were doing applied. As soon as the entire state went draw for branch bulls every ahole with a rifle applied and the odds went out of this world. That's when I started hunting elk in Colorado.

The watershed is very nasty and steep for sure. No thicker than anywhere else in that area though.

True, but I'm from John Day and it's pretty dry over there compared to the Northern Blues.

Hey guys! I just ordered some Adjustable Bilstein 5100s and was curious if anyone has offers on helping me install them? None of the local shops are giving me reasonable deals ($250+).... I am in Eugene, OR! Willing to pay money/beer/food

    Thanks :)

Oh man, that is literally the weekend I leave for Winter break :( Where you located? Maybe I can push back a few days.
There is a video recommended by many members on here that allows us to install without compression tool. Everyone says it is really easy.
