Many. Lower ride height, no axle wrap, more stability on sidehills and corners, and more uptravel allowing more articulation. Primarily it's for travel, but being 4x4 LT I can do any trail out there and haul the mail. The two are not mutually exclusive. The argument against them is less ground clearance, but in my opinion that is horsepuckey. It's like an inch difference from stock, and usually your tire is on the obstacle anyhow. I've never been hung up on mine. If anything they act as a ramp.

 

Thanks, I deal with bad wheel hop as it is. If I were to run shocks through my bed id be kinda pissed, maybe I'll try and figure out a way to make a legit bedcage that won't limit much bed space and maybe integrate some accessories into it

Those don't look like they're interfering too much, but they are short beds. If I were to go with a LT rear I'd build a cage that runs around the inside perimeter of the bed and have some plates that I could bolt my tent rack onto.

 

We've got 6" so far today! Still coming down.

 

I think officially it's 9". Depends on what part of town you are in, the airport seems to get more than in town.

I try to avoid driving my taco in your whole state. Too many cops. I go months without seeing any down here, and when I do it's so rare that I wave. They wave back. Up there I get pulled over before I get to tri-cities.

 

Seriously?? I always wave to cops here and town and never get pulled over. Usually its only the west side that people have to deal with stickler cops.

 

I haven't got a ticket up there yet, just messed with. I'm sure in Eburg I'd be fine, just the freeway between would be the issue. I bet I see at least 10 cops between state line and Eburg, sometimes more. Maybe there is a back way to get there, I've never really looked.

As far as I know, you have to run a spacer to fit them. I run the pro comp steelies for my spares and they don't fit up front without a 1/2" spacer.
