Seized spring pins and worn bushings and I mean SEIZED! The 4 on the shackle side that's pictured took me around four hours to pound out despite having a bad case of the rust cancer.

I was reading something about a mix of acetone and transmission fluid is the ultimate thing to free bolts and such. Find it on YouTube and give it a try.

Ya we have a ATF/kroil/diesel death mix we use. It's far to gone for any attempt at that. Sawzall, chisels and a BFH seems to be working nicely. It also helps to have the new guy do most of the work while I give him instructions :D

Everything works for now. Front camera on at all times, reverse on automatically when shifted into reverse. DVD plays at all times.

    Thank you TW

He's been fighting the good fight for years. He regularly has town halls on the free side of the state in podunk towns and listens to our concerns. He's a very approachable dude, and will even personally respond to emails. I don't know of any other politicians that do that.

I hope someone listens to him. The BLM is a bullshit organization that is ruining good farm lands and grazing grounds. It is a shame how much they are really killing the West.

Well, congress is the bank of this clusterfuck agency. No money no agency. I seriously doubt it will ever happen, but we can hope. I also work for a three letter agency, and am painfully aware of how easily individual managers can create their own private Idaho. There really isn't any oversight at all for feds in remote places. You think the sup's boss really wants to fly out of D.C. to Boise, rent a car, and drive 8 hours into BFE to check on his minion? Not going to happen unless you are making national headlines, and even then it will probably be a phone call and some emails. I think the federal offices should have an elected official running them. That would solve a lot of problems... instead they are ran by nearly unfireable career bureaucrats that have never had any dirt under their nails. In addition, they are primarily far left politically, as most of the positions require a doctorate at a minimum to even be considered. Not a lot of country boys with those. It's a recipe for disaster.

It really does suck for people who grew up farming or raising cattle. I did both when I was a kid, but nothing to the level of these guys hitting their nuts cut off. I don't think the government understands that we cannot live without cattle and sheep. We use them for everything. Keeping water and grazing lands from them is a recipe for disaster that will only come up when we can't feed the populace, or clothe them with the wool.

If it weren't for the farmers and ranchers, these fires would be 10x as bad. The grass and brush would be higher, making a bigger fire and a lot less likely to be put out in a short period of time. Look at what the government has done to the forests since eliminating the timber industry from controlled cutting. On top of that, making them leave the dead, fried timber in the forest when it could be used.

Agreed. I come from a family of loggers and ranchers. You see what I'm doing... it sucks but even as a kid I knew there was no future in it. Family farms will soon be a thing of the past, replaced by corporate farms that eek out every possible cent from the earth in the name of efficiency. I don't think it will change without a major reset of sorts, maybe a world war or something...

Damn front tube bumper! Blocking the view! That's pretty cool man. Is that an OEM camera for the rear that you hooked up to your new deck? How accurate are those lines?

Both are aftermarket cameras. The lines are not close. I've tried moving them but they don't move.

This shit apple passed me North of Seattle around 11:00... Waited a few hours to call it in, once I finally realized the potential gravity of the situation. Seattle PD was pissed I didn't call 911 as soon as I saw him.

There is an awful lot of weird in Seattle. Hopefully it's just a not so funny prank.

Well today was an interesting day. I was driving a different work truck than I normally drive home from work. About a week or so ago, my coworker blew out the right rear wheel on I-5 on this truck and he threw the spare on it, got the regular one replaced, and threw the regular wheel on the truck. I have now inherited this truck and on my second day driving it home, the right rear wheel fell off as I'm about 1/4 mile from my house. I was following a guy down the road and the wheel passed the guy about 2 ft from his driver side as he stopped at the stop sign. The wheel crossed the intersection and started the roll up the hill on the other side. At that point I was getting on my phone to call my boss and tell him the situation. I saw the guy drive across the intersection and pull over with his hazards. I didn't pay too much attention while I was on the phone. I saw the guy get out of his truck and I thought he was going to grab my wheel for me. After a minute or so, I get out of my truck and start to assess the situation and I notice the guy drives away. He didn't bring me my wheel so I figured it hopped the curb and went into the field/blackberries. I walk over and start searching for the wheel and after a few minutes of no luck I gave up and went back to start working on throwing the spare on. While I was working on the truck, I came to the realization that the guy that pulled over stole the wheel. It must have hit the curb and flopped over and when he got out, he must have thrown the wheel in the back and taken off. A short time later a sheriff patrol car shows up and I tell them the situation. The looks on their faces when I tell them the guy stole my wheel was priceless. They were in disbelief. They even went over to the field with their flashlights and couldn't even find the wheel themselves. I ended up throwing the spare on and robbed some lug nuts from the other 3 wheels and drove around the corner to my house. My boss just laughed at the situation.
