You had to submit a claim to Toyota right? So its Toyota saying no, not the dealer?

 

My service guy did yeah and Toyota said no

 

@Greddy even had his done not to long ago, 07 just like mine, and they covered his under recall.

 

Lame, I'd say try a different dealer, but doesn't sound like you would get anywhere.

Yeah same year, same model truck only his is a SB. They replaced it the first time.... airbag and horn didnt work, and i could hear noise in there. took it back and they replaced it again. must have been their first time doing it or something. Magic toyota in Mountlake Terrace

They're dropping already? Nothing out here yet, but I'm in muley country. Maybe the whitetails are dropping, but all I see are does.

There was one for Audi - AoA. I used it once, saved me $550. Of course, it was the "flagship" desk...

Yep! Been seeing people posting fresh ones for a couple weeks on facebook. Finally found some, all within a 100 yards of the horsebarn too. I was at a friend's ranch outside Tygh Valley over the weekend and we didn't find any. Saw dozens of mulies, but no antlers on them or laying around.

 

The service guy I always go through is a family friend so I know he did all he could and didn't lie. He did mention that number but honestly I highly doubt anything would come of it, don't think its worth the little free time I actually have.

 

What do people do with these? Are the sellable? Do you mount them? Grind them up and put it in soup?

 

I just hoard them haha. There is definitely a market for them though. There are antler buyers out there that buy them from people and then resell them to companies to be turned into house decor or even dog chews. Shed hunting is just another excuse to get me outside and exploring. Also another way to see how the deer population is doing.

I was in a tea shop in South Korea once and they had ground elk and deer sheds to add to tea to make you "strong like bull". There are a lot of various medicinal uses for them in Asia, but those weird bastards eat cockroaches so who knows.
