I'll be running through my camera tomorrow to see if I can find the footage of the 3 car wreck that happened infront of me on I5 on my way up to Portland.
Thanks @Benson X for the shirt.

Looking to havw a chase rack/roof basket made for the truck. External Cpillar already in place to start the build of. Anyone have suggestions on where to have it done around portlandish area?

Lack of having a bed made this weeks clamming/kayaking/crabbing trip really a chore so looking to expand my cargo space when not taking the half done expo trailer with me. Fitting a heavy ass Yeti style cooler in the gutted rear cab behind non folding race bucket seats is a real bitch that id like to avoid doing again.

Side note- first time razor clamming and wife and I got limits 2 days in a row at seaside. I feel a TW cruise and clam session should be in order sometime....

These guys don't know the long travel struggle is real. Getting a little trailer would be a whole lot easier...

Nobody underatands they just poke fun and then want a ride in the LT truck when your out running- never fails! Shoulda seen it when I drove it up durng.the move- really was Beverley hillbilly look.

Ive got a little trailer that i bought probably 5 years ago but havnt gotten up to speed yet- even moved it up with me as a motivator to start working on it. Taking it does limit where I can go and how fast though so kinda takes some fun out.of having the LT. Would like to have both options. Not to mention I work in inner se portland and need to haul boats often from/to/for work so a trailer would be a pain to park between the homeless camps...

I want something like Mikes Double Cab has going on. Nice clean look and useful. Not to mention ive had a 50" curved led bar for 4 years ive yet to make mounts for so I figure a chase rack would be a good place for it.

I know Mike. He does have a very functional setup, but I don't think that style chase rack would help with your boat.

You could do a removable support (kinda like a goalpost) between the spares to support the boat better. It's hard to find decent fab shops up here, I'm sure there is some around pdx but I don't know of any. Also if they live in tents with electricity aren't they technically just campers and no longer homeless? I lived in a campground for a few years in SoCal, in travel trailer. Can I say I was homeless too? :D

Wow, sorry man, didn't mean to offend. Didn't even notice the LT. Just saw the yaks ( nice boats btw) with the crab traps strapped on, reminded me of 'Ol Jed.
    :sorry:

Thats bad ass! But why is there an air bump located at the top of the dual shock hoop?

Edit: Oh does it stop the UCA instead of LCA?

Oh not offended at all sorry it came off that way was just joking ahout how much extra work LT without a bed creates when doing daily tasks. Im not easy to offend haha. My staff gives me constant shit about it since none.of them had ever seen a truck like mine before I came to work for Next Adventure. One guy just calls it the Mad Max truck- go figure he had never seen one in Kentucky.

This trip was a frickin chore, tying the pots to the boats was the only thing that worked for us and was a last minute idea. Then to make it worse we ended up never taking the boats off the truck and coulda just taken shovels and clam guns.

Thanks for complimenting Yaks, i knoe a guy if you ever need any :p. Or if you need to borrow or rent I have a large personal fleet and also stuff through work.

Ive seen mikes truck a few times at varios meets and trips and always liked his setup, figured with a few small changes I can haul boats no problem. Hell i haul them now anything would be easier. Add that I tie down a dozen a day for the last 10 years on some really janky rigs for customers and i should be able to figure it out easy :D. It actuslly takes a lot less to secure these thigs than most people realize. 3-4 feet between tie down points and i can get 14-16 boats to be secure no problem.

Done the goal post out of hitch and hate the wobble. Considered doing a hoop on bushings like how the basket that is over the bed area is now but really want to push the boats up and over the cab more. Could just do load bars but its too damn plain to match rest of the truck. Same goes for just bolting on another Thule basket which I have cheap easy access to being a Buyer in the industry. And this is where I land back into a custom basket every time. May just have to do something else until i find a good fab shop though, there sure are a lot less than there were in San Diego. Seemed there was always someone who was available from.the day I bought the truck stock until the day I moved.

As for the homeless it amazes me the problems Pdx has. Such a small city with such huge enviromental and homeless problems. Its gotta be the liberal agenda. I love oregon but if it wernt for my job I wouldnt stay here thats for sure. Eastern oregon or Idaho would be an easy move for me but until they let me.work remote I think were gonna flip our house and get into Columbia county or something.

Bumped off the UCA. Though I didnt think TC recommended that with their stuff. More for boxed uca's was my understanding.

He also still has the stock bump stop :)

But am i the only one who noticed that everything is.....to clean. Doesnt even look like that truck has been on a trail its that clean

The free side of the state is a completely different place man. If you see a grown man on a bicycle out here you instantly know it's because he got a DUII. o_O

Had the job offer not come around we were set to go to the Boise area so Portland is a small culture shock compared to what we wanted. Definitely parts I love but plenty that I dont dig as well. Cant wait to go explore the other side of the state.

That thing would be cool, but you'd need a big diesel to pull it. Those bastards are heavy!

huh? They weight ~1350lbs if i remember correctly before striping them down. Most people get them down to 1000-1100 pounds empty weight (before any customization that is). Not exactly what Id say you need a big diesel to pull....even a 2k-2.2k loaded trailer isnt that bad behind a tacoma

I didn't realize they were that light. My experience with them was behind a M1037, and it slowed your max speed down to 45mph with the throttle pinned, downhill. lol. They were also always full of munitions and gear, probably overloaded.

    crap bolted and welded together....
So I'm lost on a problem. I've searched the interwebz and haven't found anything of help.

Doesn't matter the speed I'm traveling while having this problem. I can shift to neutral and watch my RPMs drop to 1000, then while coasting it goes back to 2k, then falls to 1k, back to 2k and does this till I'm stopped.

Only thing I've managed to find research wise is low coolant, or vacuum leak somewhere.

Any thoughts? I first thought my recent clamshell swap may have buggered something, but not sure what. Driving my truck is slightly annoying with this lol.
