Nice I'm a boiler operator here at Tillamook been with Stimson for three years great company to work for.

 

Nice! I would love to work for them full time. My stuff was just internships, still waiting for a forester position to open up.

On another note, holy shit its a pain in the butt doing the paperwork to get a suppressor.

 

On my last car, I did projector HID retro headlights, and I wasn't impressed in the least at the light output of them. I also did the swap out over a weekend because the car was a daily driver. I also believe that the factory headlights on the 2nd gen tacomas have higher than average light output. Moral of my story, the only reason for projector retro lights on tacomas is for looks not functionality.

 

Wait till you do a trust. It's that much paperwork multiplied by three, multiplied by the number of people in the trust. Stoopid, just for something to save your hearing.

 

I can't wait for today's alignment. I really want to see how things are going to feel once the truck isn't fighting me just to go straight.

What kind of feedback are you looking for? Doing a retrofit on my 1st Gen was worth every penny.

I agree with this 100% Retrofit projectors with HID bulbs is sooooooooo much better that stock.

I got a similar response to a question a few years ago… Which is how I know how to do that now.

 

In case it helps, the car I did retro on was a first gen matrix. I am quite happy with the stock headlights on my truck, and even before lifting, I had people flashing their brights at me because they thought my brights on.

 

People flash their brights at others because of incorrectly aimed headlights and inappropriate light scatter. If you are getting flashed, aim your headlight down a bit.

It is interesting, the retros put out a ton more light, yet I get flashed a lot less since I have installed them. It isn't because they aren't bright. The are bright as fuck and will hurt your eyes if you look right at them. I think I get flashed less because the retros have a great cutoff. Something that traditional reflectors with bright halogen bulbs don't have.

 

Getting flashed was with everything stock. It came adjusted that way from the factory. My in laws have an 08 DCSB bone stock and even seeing their truck in the dark from my lifted truck they have bright headlights. I figured these trucks all came that way. I also don't care if other people don't like my headlights. My wife drives the truck at night more than I do and I want her to see what is out there. Deer aren't very nice to vehicles when they get hit from 45 mph, which is the speed limit for the road I live on.
