I got mine from nj636. I have not installed it but always take it on trips for a spare (or when I need to replace one while off the trail). I will double check tomorrow and take it out of the bag to check...I would suggest nj636 over bama

I have never dealt with bama personally, but a few of the guys I wheeled with for a few years in TN/KY did and I heard some not so great stories involving him (more than 1).

DEF NOT BASHING HIM, especially on the interweb (as I have never met the guy) but I do trust my friends from there immensely and decided to go with kevin (nj646). I will continue buying from him in the future. he expedited the time to get it in the mail for my specific circumstance and tossed in a mil discount so I will be a return customer AND the product looks great. For those reason, I will help support him since I had a great experience

Got my bearing from Bama. No issues, prompt service and his product has exceeded the warranty offered so it has performed as described. Would buy more from him when the time comes.

My kit from Bama did not include that seal. I fortunately was able to remove and install the original with minimal distortion.

Ohhhhhh you didn't see the thread on here...

Bama started building these NJ did just at the same times. NJ sent his goons, along with his own fake account to bamas page to lie, bash, and cause problems. NJ got banned for a short period of time, as did a few other members.

Well guys, this should be an interesting drive today. Luckily for me, the Super Bowl doesn't mean much. I'm going to Umatilla or Hermiston today pulling my travel trailer. At my house, I have about 10 inches of fresh snow in the last couple days. Roads have been plowed, but it's still coming down now.

It's supposed to start coming down here around 6pm last I heard. Hopefully snows enough that they cancel my classes tomorrow and don't have to take my midterms until Wednesday :fingerscrossed:

Hopefully the freezing rain isn't too bad! It's above freezing in Pendleton, but still cold and foggy down by the river.

@Bennett707 hey, I want to move my Internet modem from one living room to another - can I unhook it and connect it to any coax cable outlet or will I need a tech to come out here?

Actually, I can't answer that without knowing your network connections.

Depending on some variables, your outlets are balanced. This means during a transition or upgrade, techs will disconnect outlets and activate outlets. So your desired outlet may not be active. Most installs only include one free outlet, so unless you have a nice tech out there that's all thats going to be active. If you have a splitter outside with multiple lines connected, then your desired outlet may have signal.

I have an odd schedule this week, but it's not a lengthy thing to activate a new outlet as long as it is ran properly and not damaged.

The issue is when you have 5 lines and your house only has signal really for 3 (assuming 3 tv's and a modem), being why techs don't activate all the outlets. not using it, why install extra hardware or an amplifier to balance properly. waste of money & time

signal differs by each house. length from utilities. etc etc. which is why it's a case by case basis

I don't think I've ever had a tech that could spell amplifier let alone install one, I've given up on every cable box too. The only thing we have that works no matter what is the Motorola modem, kept getting bum ones from Comcast so I bought one instead. :/ I suppose I'm not the average customer though...

id say it is pretty rare for a modem to be bad. most of the time its a wiring issue. but depending on usage, the comcast modems are not ideal. they are jacks of many trades but masters of none. but, in comparison to the frontier modems and centurylink modems i pull out. LMFAO

frontier doesn't even want the equipment back. tells you how good it is...
