    Hello all,
I'm in hood river for the next 4 weeks for work (originally from Boston, MA) and was wondering if there were any gatherings in the Portland area? I'm stuck with a subaru outback rental this time but I'd be down to come hang out and check out the local trucks!

Officially planned stuff from around the webs that I'm aware of, but really don't have a personal interest so you'd have to ask another person:
Overland Portland Cars and Coffee, Aug 5 8am-11am at World of Speed USA. Details are on FB.
Overland Emergency Response Network's (OERNet) Newbie Basic Trail Run, Discussion, and Potluck at Brown's Camp, Aug 13 9-4, details on FB.

As far as any serious trail runs, I don't see anything official, and these days the only way people tell me something happened is when they post pics to FB of stuff that already happened.

At this time I'm hoping to get out to Brown's or Barlow Toll Road on motos with @stikle if his body is not broken still!

I hate fire season in E. WA. I'm happy to get snow over here. Maybe I need to move to Alaska.

I love neighbors. Let me introduce you to my mentor, Doctor Hannibal Lector. Minor side note, can I have your truck when you are dead?

Also, on the note of meet ups...

I am planning the Inland NorthWest meet up and camping on my property. It is not a wheeling trip. Based on popular vote, it is set for Sept 9&10. I'll be here on Friday the 8th for those who want to be over Friday night too. More info on this thread.

Parade today. Have to wait for it to finish so I can get my frame from storage. A few crawlers, some hotrods, but not much else.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
If anyone is looking for a place to hang out for the eclipse, let me know. My parents have property and the ability to have people out back for camping. They are in the boonies between Salem and Silverton, with pool. Probably just charge a small fee for land use or whatnot.

I won't be there though. I am not going to try to chance that shitty traffic...

I might take you up on that, I am going to head down there but I need to stay on the West side because I need to make my way down towards Florence after the eclipse to pick up a dog before heading back North.

My uncle has a farm out near Schlecter Farms. One of the cousins has organized a camp out there, so I've got my plans taken care of.

Just message me, and I'll get you in touch with my dad. He'll give you a place. He's got nobody else at the property to watch, but he said he would be ok with anyone I knew that needed a spot

After waiting 3 months for my flatbed from CM, it didn't fucking fit! So I got a PJ Trailer flatbed for the tow pig. I actually got my 85 crawler project to run...sort of. It likes to stutter and die whenever you give it throttle, so I'm trying to figure that issue out. Dying to get back out on a trail.

    crap bolted and welded together....
Yea. Apparently me throwing large items in the bed bent what I'll call "throttle control bar". Tweaked the bar back and she runs fine. I cant believe I didn't see that when I was trying to start it.

Had an awesome time on the Whipsaw trail yesterday up in British Columbia. This was my second year in a row running it.
