Yep, was a plain ol' 91/30 when it started. Not a $800 optic.

Damn, at first glance I thought it was maybe a rem700 or maybe a Savage, the typical bolts in an aftermarket stock/chassis setup. Never would thought it was a mosin in disguise.

Yeah. It confuses people every now and then at the range. First time I shot it after it got chopped and threaded, it had been raining out at the range. The first shot created a very cool effect of knocking the water off the cover. Had one guy come up and firmly tell me that 50BMG couldnt be used. Had to show him that the 54r is not that big.

Ya I wouldn't have guessed that still pretty cool though, I also have a m1917 winchester in .30-06 but it needs a new stock, its cool to see old military rifles being updated.

Im not a purist, so I would rather have the comfort of a modern stock with recoil absorbing design than a wood stock with a steel plate in the shoulder.

Thats how my 1917 is, it beats the shit out of me when I fire 180 grains, since the stock is splitting I havent fired it and wont until I get a new stock for it. Which makes me want ask whats the round capacity in that mosin of yours.

I have 10 round magazines for it. Shoulder does fine after a few magazines, but ulnar nerve starts to sing after just a couple rounds.

Yeah, last time I saw them at Cabelas, they were $350 I think.

Yeah the LGS had them for that price about 3yrs ago, but covered in cosmoline. He was letting people take their pick when they where plentiful. He had literally a pallet of them.

I have found that I shoot the Evo 3 S1 more than any of the others. It is enjoyable weak hand.

Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
I moved to a podunk little town in Eastern Oregon 8 months ago. I saw this badassery like 5 blocks from my house. I stopped to look this morning and imagine my surprise to see a TW sticker in the back window.

Anyone want to buy a new Kicker Hideaway sub? There's a few threads out there with clean installs under the passenger seat.
